I’ve just come in from sitting wrapped up in a wool blanket on my front porch for the last couple of hours with one of these beeswax candles burning on the table in front of me while I stared at the few stars I could see through the rain clouds. It was a magical, mystical and soothing break from the work-eat-sleep-work-again mode I’ve been for the last two weeks. But when I came home today I found three packages waiting for me. One of them contained these candles.Now I’ve never been a candle person. I loathe scented items in my home or, worse, on my person. This dislike includes but is not limited to candles, soap, laundry detergent, deodorant, lotion, etc. In addition, I fear fire almost as much as I fear smoke alarms going off so lighting candles inside my home is a big no-no.But today after dinner I wrapped myself up in a wool blanket, grabbed one of these candles and went out on the front porch. I set it on the glass patio table, lit it, and leaned back to watch the flame and wax do their intertwined dance.The scent of pure beeswax candles is less a scent than its natural honey-like essence. It’s a slightly odd smell if you haven’t been around beeswax much, but definitely pleasant. I found it particularly satisfying to listen the wind and rain while picking up the scent of both the beeswax and some oranges on a tree nearby.While I have seen beeswax candles in various shapes and sizes before, I was drawn to buy these with their hand-rolled look; they truly are small works of art. I found myself fascinated with the way the flame interacted with the wax sheets as they gently merged before dissolving. (Without annoying smoke, I might add.)I don’t know if they. are. relatively expensive compared. to. other candles but I do know. I. find them more than worthy of their price. They are so lovely and they provided such a special experience that I intend to make them a more regular part of my life–because they are beautiful and my life should be so too.Highly recommended.

Beautiful Candles
These candles are very unique and beautiful. They smell authentic.Iâll admit they were smaller than expected (due to me not reading right in the title the size), but they have a lovely rustic feel to them. I love that each one is packaged separate in a way because I think they would make a beautiful gift and a cute addition in a gift basket.I havenât burned one yet and honestly Iâm not sure I will. I like how they look aesthetically.

Nice fragrance, not a lot of burn time
I love having a candle burning wherever I’m working – the fragrance is important, but there’s also something about seeing the flame that’s very calming, like watching those fireplace log videos at the holidays.These candles burn beautifully, with the thin layers of wax melting down into each other and dissolving.I’m definitely not getting the same 20+ hour burn time that the makers specify – I’m getting more like six hours per candle, which is fine – I don’t get much more than 20 hours out of a solid pillar, and these are definitely not solid.Overall, these are really nice candles, as long as you keep your expectations realistic. 🙂
