Hand-Dipped Beeswax Tapers
Classic candlesticks dipped into pure molten beeswax at just the right temperature by a steady hand and a keen eye. These candles are dipped and cooled over twenty times each before a pair can be cut free from the rack. Kept out of drafts, these tapers will burn one inch per hour without drips.
Caring for Beeswax Taper Candles
Don’t trim the wick
After cutting the wick to 1/4″ to separate a pair of tapers, it’s no longer necessary to trim the wick. In fact, a taper’s long, curled wick is essential in preventing drips.
To prevent drips
Keep tapers away from open windows, fans or excessive airflow of any kind. Place your hand behind flame when blowing out.
To minimize smoke
Use a snuffer to minimize smoke and preserve the taper’s delicate burn pool.
Set up strong
Our tapers are a standard 7/8″ at the base. Beeswax is very malleable. If your taper is a bit too large for the holder, it can be twisted securely into place. On the other hand, if your holder is a bit large, simply melt the base of the taper over a flame and allow the softened wax to secure it in the holder.

The Best CandlesâHands Down
Beeswax candles are the ideal candle because of how long they last, how bright and clean they burn, and for the delightful natural scent. But not all beeswax candles are created equal. Bluecornâs entire lineup is consistently the best Iâve come across in quality. They are worth it. If youâre considering cheaper beeswax candles from China, I tried them and they donât compare. These are more substantial, denser, thicker, cleaner burning, and smell better. Try them at least once and you wonât want to use any others.

Nice candles!
Have been using these tapers for several months now and we really like them–no drip, well made, nice-looking, smell great (natural, no scent), fair pricing, high quality, and fit perfectly in our candle bases. Bought them because they were advertised as 100% pure raw beeswax. We feel fortunate that they all arrived intact as they were only wrapped tightly in paper, in a paper envelope. Love the plastic-free packaging, but some cushioning (ie, crinkled post-consumer paper) might be a good idea to prevent breakage.

Incredible candles
We first bought “beeswax” candles on Amazon that were much cheaper, but you get what you pay for! They dripped everywhere and further inspection were likely not 100% beeswax.These candles are the complete opposite. Have not dripped at all after many uses. Have been very long lasting. And are definitely 100% beeswax.It is worth paying up for higher quality candles like these. Highly recommend these candles and will be buying again!

I stumbled across this company trying to find colonial style beeswax tapers. Am I glad I did! I’ve paid top dollar for less quality beeswax t apers at boutique shops. Never again, I am purchasing these again. The careful packaging by the seller ensured all the tapers were not damaged. They included a note with the candles on how to care for them along with expected burn time per inch. I have become a beeswax-only candle convert as I also learned it is great for allergies and asthma. Can’t wait to buy more products to support this wonderful American small business. You won’t find candles this beautiful in any big chain stores – those cheap candles burn too fast and make a mess. Plus you don’t know what you are breathing in as far as chemicals. These have a lovely light natural scent and make the dining room table pop with their clean burn and soft glow. I am sold on this company’s attention to detail and the passion they clearly have in their craft. We need to support our artisans.

Beeswax tapers
These are a high quality tapers. I do wish they were safely packed in a box with a lid to protect them more during shipment. I received them wrapped in paper and in a thin slightly padded plastic bag. I had a sigh of relief that they were intact when it was opened.

Oh No! Defective candles.
We are repeat customers of the Bluecorn beeswax tealights which we love for being non toxic. This year we purchased the tapers for our Christmas table and trimmed the wicks as directed prior to lighting. One taper burned down much quicker than the other, dripped wax on our tablecloth, caught the foam cushion on fire that makes the taper fit snug in the candlestick and ruined our crystal candlestick. I believe the candles were defective. I will stick with the tea lights from now on. I just wish my candlestick didn’t get ruined as they were a wedding gift.
