About Amish Country Popcorn
In 1965 in the “Amish Country” community of Berne, Indiana, Roy Lehman planted a small plot of popcorn for his six year old son, Brian.
Brian then began supplying his family with popcorn. He remembers carrying popcorn to school, and his sixth grade teacher was one of his most loyal customers.
When he finished high school, he wanted to stay on the family farm and continue to grow and sell popcorn.
Fifty years later, Brian is still in the popcorn business. The people who know Brian would tell you that he is known for the following two things: serving the Lord and selling popcorn.

A delicious essential for making “movie theater style” popcorn at home
This is the stuff they use at the movies, and other major events, for popping corn. It also has some beta-carotene added for color but you’ll still want to finish your corn with some butter or butter-flavored popcorn oil.Since coconut oil gets solid around 76°F, I like to melt this by setting it in a pot of warm water. Once it melts, I ladle it into ice-cube trays and chill. Pop them out into a big zip-lock bag and store someplace cool, like the fridge, etc. (just so they don’t melt before I’m ready) Then, when ready to pop, toss in as many cubes as you need for your size pan and amount of corn. (I generally use 4 for 1/3rd cup of corn). It really makes it easy to control the portion size and get consistently awesome results!Oh, and don’t forget, for superior results and no “unsalted corn”, when you put this coconut oil in the pan, go ahead and measure in your popcorn salt (super-fine salt). By dissolving it in the oil, you’ll ensure every kernel of corn gets the right amount of salt. Enjoy!

Longtime homemade popcorn connoisseur here, seriously >50y. Santa brought me my first electric popcorn popper at age 10. Santa knew I needed proper tools. My Easybake Oven wasnât cutting it. I always use quality corn & I typically finish all methods of pop with some fresh melted butter, never cared for flavored oil itâs never close enough to real butter taste. So, I was skeptical when my best friend & fellow popcorn lover suggested I try this product without adding any butter & popping it in a silicone popper. She didnât fail me. No butter needed, it tastes delicious. It also works for any popping method. I prefer stovetop, but microwave works & is quick and easy. No kernels burned and few left unpopped. HIGHLY recommend this with some fine popcorn salt. Off to make some for our Sat night movie. Hope you enjoy your next pop.

We used this for making kettle corn at a festival. It works very well and has a good color and taste but it is definitely messy to scoop out as it gets lower!

No flavor old stock?
Wish it had some sort of flavor to it. Popped well but the $2.00 store brand did the same and had a lot of butter flavor. Skip this one for sure. It might have been old or something, only had 8 months best used by date. Iâd recommend replacing it but itâs not returnable lol.

The yellow coconut oil is simply a colour added to my popcorn oil, but when combined with Flavocol, it sure tastes like real movie theatre popcorn. I use a silicone microwave popcorn popper. I add half of the coconut oil, kernels and Flavocol to pop the corn and then after, I mix and melt butter and a little more coconut oil in the popping container to gather up any Flavocol thatâs left. It makes everything look and taste amazing.

I was trying to mimic the movie theatre taste and came across a video saying that this oil needed to be used with a hot oil electric popper. After one try (and many more since), I can confidently say I wonât be going back to regular oil. The popcorn fluff, taste, and everything is better.
