Works well but has a major design flaw
This item was to replace a diffuser that finally died after many years of nightly service. I did get quite used to the old one and switching to this one was not easy. It works well, looks kinda cool, but is marred by a design flaw that almost makes me want to return it. Let me be clear about our use for these mist diffusers . . . we use it for soft light and aromatherapy – not so much for the benefits of the cool mist which IMHO is really a non issue with these devices – if I need it I’ll use a humidifier for those benefits if needed.The capacity of this device is quite sufficient and then some. I like to “pre-game” and start the device before I’m ready for bed like around an hour or so before. I let it run overnight and when I wake up around 7 hours later it’s still going and there’s always water left over from the night before. You can easily get 8 to 10 hours before it will shut down! I used to get maybe 6 on my old one. 6 out of 5 for me. Also, the mist that it produces is more than sufficient to fill the room rather quickly and keep it going overnight (for our uses).Aesthetics: We really like how it looks – wife even commented that it looks like a ufo is floating on our dresser. The light that emits from it is soft and quite calming. It can be adjusted to pulse through colors or you can have it just stay on one of the gradients. There’s more to the lighting options but I just let it do its default as it’s the most effective for my tastes. 5 outta 5 on thisNow to the one thing that is bad about the design flaw (actually 2) It’s a rather large sphere and difficult handle with one hand. I almost always have to use 2 hands operating this devices at all times. If it was just an inch maybe 2 less in diameter it would be MUCH easier to handle. Furthermore, prying the lid off this thing without spilling the contents all over is a nightmare. I’ve gotten to the point where I just barely let the lid rest (without pushing it down and locking it into place) on the device, but by morning it’s settled and needs to be pryed off again the next night to refil water and oils. My problem with not snaping it back into place is that I’m afraid our cats will knock it around (hasn’t happened yet!) and spill things everywhere.You will need to have fingernails to pry this lid off – I don’t as I’m a musician and need to trim mine down It’s big and bulky and offers no easy way to manipulate the device. . . 3 outta 5

Great aromatherapy diffuser, but not a humidifier
This is a small diffuser, which I like because it doesnât take up much space on my nightstand. However, it is incorrectly described as a humidifier, which is why I deducted one star. It will not make any difference if the air is dry. If youâre looking for a proper humidifier, I recommend searching for dedicated productsâthis is strictly an aromatherapy diffuser.The lights create a pleasant atmosphere, and with a few drops of scented oil, I sleep like a baby!Itâs not completely silent, but it doesnât disturb my sleep.I fill the reservoir before bed and leave it on all night.
