Very moisturizing but I wasnât expecting the smell
Itâs very very effective but the smell surprised me. Itâs a little sour-smelling but it only lasts about 15 seconds. Once you get past that youâre going to be very happy with how well it moisturizes your skin. It absorbs quickly and leaves only soft skin behind. Itâs also very lightweight and not sticky at all.

This is the second time that I have ordered this. I have gotten into Japanese and Korean beauty products and this one did not disappoint! It has a light scent of fermented saki, but it quickly goes away as it dries. It is a light milky consistency and dries a tiny bit tacky. I use this right after washing my face as my toner and then add my products on top of it. This provides a great layer of moisture with the ceremides. The bottle is HUGE and I also use this product on my neck and dec along with my arms. I use an automizer bottle to mist it onto my face and neck, because otherwise to use the pump into my palms to rub them together then pat my face wastes a lot of the product. My prior bottle has lasted over 1 year and this is my second order. I am very happy with the moisturizing and my skin looks brighter and has a healthy glow. Truly a great value for the price.

Decent Light Moisturizer
After having used this for about a year now, I think it’s time to share my thoughts.First off, the fact that it’s lasted a year (and I still have about a third of the bottle left) speaks pretty well of it’s longevity. For the price, it’s definitely worth it. I use about 1-2 pumps morning and night.It’s a light moisturizer, so I use it as a base or when I need something quick when getting ready. If I am feeling just slightly dry, this works perfect, however if I’m dealing with more intense dry skin, I need to opt for a cream. Usually, I’ll layer this with another product. It is easy on the skin, and personally I like the slight alcoholic sake scent. It dissipates fairly quickly too.It can be a little sticky if you use too much, so I say 2 pumps at most. I usually rub it across my face, neck, and upper chest when I use 2 pumps, then just pat in the remainder on my hands. After drying, my face feels plump and moisturized.Overall, it is a very decent standby moisturizer with an extremely generous quantity that lasts a verrrry long time. If you’re on the fence, I say it’s worth a try. Especially if you just need light to medium moisture.My skin is dry in spots, slightly oily by the end of the day, for reference. I have fairly sensitive skin with only mild acne. This doesn’t get rid of acne in my experience, but it doesn’t make it worse either, which I think is pretty great. I typically use BHA products to actually get rid of the acne, so this does a good job of being minimal and just doing moisture only.

Holy Grail of Face Products
I have sensitive, acne prone skin, that is super reactive to product ingredients with the occasional hormonal breakout around my menstrual cycle. I usually do rigorous patch testing on small sections of my skin before I use a product. I can tell in 3 days if something will work for me or not, because of the subsequent breakouts/rashes that happen almost immediately. So far I have been using this product for 10 days and it is FANTASTIC.This is NOT a toner like North Americans imagine toner to be. It is not astringent-y at all. This is a very thin layer of moisture in your facial routine.Some people complain about the smell, honestly it goes away in two or three seconds. I only catch a wiff of what I imagine a brewery smells like (I’ve never had Sake so idk what it smells like), and then it is gone. So idk why people complain about the smell because it is literally gone when it touches the air. It’s not something you keep smelling through the day at all.You get a HUGE bottle. I’ve been using it all over my body, (bit paranoid about expiration and such) and it’s been better than any other body lotion I’ve used before.I had a hormonal acne breakout before I started using it, and it usually takes 3 weeks for the cysts go go away and then another 2 or 3 weeks for the hyperpigmentation to fade. I’m on day 10 and currently in the fading stage. My skin is brighter and more translucent than it was before.This stuff plays SOOOOOOO well with makeup. Ever since I started using it, my makeup looks flawless.This is literally my favorite facial product I have ever used in my entire life, and at 31 with sensitive skin, I’ve used a ton.For people confused about where this goes in a routine here is part of mine for example:-Wash face with cleanser.-Apply Actives (AHA, BHA, Vit Cs)-Kikumasamune Sake Skin Lotion High Moisture-Apply Essence-Apply Cream-Heavier Cream if night time-Sunscreen if morning-Makeup if morning
