Very enjoyable to complete together.
I purchased this book as an activity to do with my 6 year old. I had hoped it would help build her confidence when writing. Itâs done a great job at doing that! We do this together and not only has it encouraged her to write but we get to spend time together completing this book. We donât do it daily, but when we do it is one of the best parts of the day, getting to openly communicate with my daughter and learn more about how she sees her world. I recommend this for anyone wanting to encourage writing, self reflection and family time. It really is enjoyable to complete.

Title of plural “parents” misleading
The instructions say you are to pass this between a child and ONE parent. The title says “parents”. This became an isolating and awkward conversation when trying to use it as a family of 3. Was purchased to discuss the themes as a group at dinner to help build closeness like this book says it can help with. Child takes everything very literally so didn’t want to use it to talk with both parents.

One of best purchases I ever made.
First day with this journal and it gave me and my son something to talk about for 30 minutes to an hour. Really helps ensure quality time. Love the different prompts because I think my 6 yr old would get bored with same thing. He is above average in reading and writing so this provides a challenge for him. There are simplier prompts that 5 yr olds could do such as ten people you love Models how to make sentences, spelling, etc.bought it used, perfect condition several dollars off

Bonding and bedtime helper
We are loving this journal. My daughter cannot write on her own yet but she happily tells me her thoughts to write down & thereâs often room for her to draw a picture too. She just turned 5. Iâm considering gifting this to a few friends as well. My husband told me tonight that he actually thinks it has really helped bedtime to go smoother. Which we can use all the help we can get at that touchy time of day. Would definitely recommend!

I got this book for my 9 year old daughter and I. She looks forward to doing it. It’s been so nice. The cover is soft, pages brightly colored, all in all a cute design that will make a good keepsake. I like that a lot of pages leave extra space for doodles or extra notes. I would say, in my opinion, the book could be filled out with kids aged 7+.
