Beautiful
I love the size and that itâs easy to take along. The spiral bind makes writing easy since there are no pages bouncing back at you. The prompts were helpful but for me, it was a challenge to come up with an answer. I think the organization is great, I love the outline and the information. I think it makes a beautiful gift for anyone looking to learn more about themselves. Iâd say the quality and value align.

Once a week, spend some time writing and thinking about anxiety and coping
To start off with, this journal is easy to hold. I like the texture of the fabric on the cover.Writing in it is pleasant, especially with the way the book can lie flat. Some of the pages are slightly crimped together where the holes were punched, but turning through the pages separates them easily. The paper could have been a bit thicker. I say this because I can faintly but clearly see writing on the reverse of a page if I use a gel pen. Fountain pens definitely bleed through, and they also feather their ink on the page, so I don’t recommend using those kind of pens. A pencil seems to be the best. Besides, you can erase pencil, which is always a bonus. There are 12 sections, like small chapters, not including the introduction. Each has typically 4 pages of prompts, and there are always 2 additional blank lined pages for you to continue your thoughts. The suggestion is that you set aside some time the same day of the week every week to use the journal. If I have a complaint, it would be that I don’t like the occasional cursive font used. It seems pretty flowery. The other fonts are very clean and simple, and the spacing between lines is good.In my opinion, this journal would be best for those who have both anxiety and depression. Because of that flowery font, some people might not feel as comfortable using it. (If that sounds weird to you, imagine a journal written in Comic Sans or some Old West inspired font. Fonts matter!)

Helpful Peace of Mind Journal
Like many people these days, I suffer from depression and anxiety. It is often difficult to work through and put into words the thoughts and feelings I have. I got this journal to try to help me sort through these issues and it has helped. It is a beautifully spiral-bound hardback journal with a lovely leather and linen cover. The great thing about this journal is that it was designed by a licensed therapist. The journal prompts are thought-provoking, but simple and easy to work with. It is well-rounded in its scope and provides education about depression and anxiety and how to effectively cope with them through journaling. Self-care is so important to your mental health and this journal provides a healthy alternative to the destructive tendencies mental health issues entail. I would recommend this to people who are serious about flipping the narrative of their mental health. The only downside is the cost – this journal is a bit expensive given its length, but its features somewhat make up for it.

Incredible journal with thoughtful guidance and insightful writing prompts
The Peace of Mind Journal by Promptly Journals is a well-rounded tool for helping someone understand and handle their anxiety in healthier ways. This is a beautifully bound journal with plenty of space for responding to prompts, expressing ideas and feelings, and making it your own.The journal starts with a short description of what anxiety is, how it manifests in the body, and its causes and prevention. The first interactive section defines the different types of distorted thinking that often contribute to anxiety and encourages you to reflect on how these may contribute to the anxiety you are personally facing. The remaining sections cover body scans, breathing tools, affirmations, gratitude, calming fear, art and music therapy, exercise, developing a support system, and reflection. Teaching points and thoughtful quotes are interspersed throughout the book. The size is modest enough to fit into a bag or purse and to hold easily. For someone on a tight budget, this journal may seem a bit of an investment, but honestly, it is worth it to invest in your health and well-being. The prompts in this guided journal are based in current research and cover what would typically be covered in months of therapy. Invest the time and effort, be honest with yourself, and use this journal to find a calmer version of yourself.

A Self-Guided Coaching/Therapy Workbook To Reduce Anxiety
Peace of Mind is a self-help journal designed to calm anxiety. The creator/author is Mikki Harmon, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. There is a small amount of informational content, but it is primarily a workbook. There are numerous questions to be answered and a lot of self-awareness exercises. There is a short introduction section and a definition of anxiety, then there are 12 short sections/chapters designed to help you a) become aware of your own feelings around anxiety and b) how to work through them and find relief. The Sections are: 1) You Arenât What You Think, 2) Tune in to Your Body3) Breath Awareness, 4) Free Writing, 5) Affirmations, 6) Color Yourself Calm7) Gratitude, 8) Movement, 9) Music Therapy, 10) Calming Fear11) Support System and 12) Reflection. Each section has numerous coaching/therapy questions for the reader to answer. There is a short space for your answer. To get the most from these exercises, you may find it better to have a separate notebook to record your answers. In addition to the coaching/therapy questions, there are often therapy tips at the end of the section. You may find that some of the sections are not helpful to you. Focus on the sections which work for you. You can skip a section if it does not resonate with you. If you skip a section on the first pass, you can always go back to it later. This is not a one-time cure for anxiety. You will get the most benefit from this workbook if you devote some time to the exercises daily.
