Moisturizing, Good on Sensitive Skin
I have sensitive skin, and have never had a problem with this moisturizer. It makes my skin feel hydrated and soft. It is not greasy. It has a nice mild scent and it goes on smoothly. I think it seems like a high quality moisturizer.

I bought this as a daily moisturizer and LOVE the way it soaks in and does not leave an oily residue. I even use it on my crepey arm skin and it seems to help make my skin less dry. It has a mild scent and melts upon application.

Good, Solid, Water-Based Moisturizer
Firstly, I have combination/dry skin. I tend to oil up in my T-zone (as every other woman out there), but I am REALLY dry on the rest of my face, especially around my mouth and sometimes on the perimeter of my forehead.Secondly, I needed a moisturizer I could use before my makeup and I needed one that was water-based because my foundations are water-based. I tried this out because it’s the most natural and one of the safest moisturizers I could find within my budget. I honestly would buy this again.The jar is quite small (it is 3 oz.), but I’ve had mine for 6 months. I don’t use it every day, but if I did I would probably be on my second jar already. It’s very light on the skin and absorbs very quickly. Before, I was used to only putting jojoba oil or maracuja as moisturizer, but I found out that that was probably a factor why my makeup didn’t last long (water-based foundation + oil-based moisturizer = blahhhh). Oil based moisturizers feels more hydrating and lasts longer on my skin, so I didn’t expect the same results from this one. I mainly use this for dry spots on the days I don’t wear makeup and I also put this on my entire face on the days that I am using makeup. The reason why I gave this 4 stars is that I’ve noticed this winter that I have to put more for my dry spots because a few minutes after patting on one layer, some of my dry spots reappear, which is not cute. It is very emollient, but if your skin is extra dry, you will probably end up using a tiny bit more.

I Love This
My face is generally oily so I was looking for something that would not add oily-ness to my skin. And this is it. I love how light it feels and it absorbs nicely into the skin. Does not leave a greasy feeling at all. The smell is so delightful. I wish Alba Botanica made a candle in this scent 𥰠this is a great product for those with oily skin or those looking for something oil free!

BAD FORMULA CHANGE ð¢
Iâve been using this moisturizer exclusively for over a decade. Itâs really hard to find natural, oil-free moisturizers that actually moisturize and do not upset my supper-sensitive skin. Unfortunately, as other reviewers have noted, there seems to have been a sneaky formula change. What was once a light herbal fragrance is now a sickly sweet smell like overripe strawberries. I have also noticed an increase in blackheads and impacted acne. I had hoped it was just a fluke batch or a fake version, as can sometimes happen with Amazon purchases, but my recent subscribe and save order is the same. Always a bummer when a good product is ruined. I will sadly be searching for a new alternative, and I hope Alba does not make the same mistake with any of their other products that Iâve come to rely on. Formula changes, especially unannounced ones, are a surefire way to break trust and lose customers.

No dislikes about Alba Moisturizer. I have been using it for quite some time. Its a light creamy texture, light scent, feel nice on my skin and it is free of chemicals. Aloe and green tea. Smells amazing too. I wish it came in a larger container.
