I have long hair that goes to my waist. With my long thick hair, I have considerable breakage, and it splits easily. It’s summertime so I’m prone to wear it up or braided. I used this once, and it helped to keep the flyaways down since I live in a humid area that makes the hair stand up on end. It helped, it oiled the hair down and didn’t make me look – well, oily. I did not apply it to the scalp, only the mid to ends like the direction on the bottle said, and I’m not going to apply it to my skin because I wanted to test it out first. It has a nice aroma, my husband did say I smelled like oregano – which I’m not too pleased about.It did weight my hair down a bit and I’m not going to be able to go as long between washes if I use this. With the length of my hair and the fact that I am not oily at all, and lean to dry – I have to go about a week between hair washing, so this could help with that. If I wash my hair more it breaks more.I hope this will help. Overall feel of it is positive.

I was surprised that this oil did not have any smell, I just assumed a primrose would have some flowery smell to it, but I am fine with fragrance free, as that is usually what I purchase if the item does not have any natural smell to it. This oil is easy to use and absorbs readily into your skin and hair. I only used a few drops, as it advised, and rubbed it into my hands and then into the ends of my hair, it did not seem to weigh it down or make it greasy and the skin also became soft and not oily feeling. I have long, fine, straight hair that is easily weighed down, but this looks like a good fit for my hair type, I usually use borage oil, now I can add this to my rotation. The oil is USDA certified organic with no additives. I like this product and would purchase it again.
