Quality at a great price!
This journal is so nice! It has an elastic band to mark your page, beautiful fabric covers, a pocket on the inside back cover, and the watercolor paper is a good, heavy stock – the paint wonât bleed through. Also, the pages are perforated in case you want to pull one out. Really pleased with the quality and price.

Thick pages buckled under acrylic paint, then magically straightened out when dry. I love this journal, and will be buying a supply of them so that I never run out. The perfect size for urban painting and travel art journaling, too.

This is a great little watercolor journal. Pages are thick so you can paint on both sides, color doesn’t bleed through. It does warp a little bit, but once it is dry you can just close it to get it to lay flat. Doesn’t affect my ability to paint on it.

This is my favorite size for a watercolor notebook. The paper is divine. It is easy to draw and paint on each wonderful page. You can even draw on the cover and write on the spine with a Sharpie. Nothing like making it yours! This is a quality painting book.

Good handling but unnatural/unpleasant texture
The book is very nicely made with a premium feel. The paper is thick and sturdy and seems to be well sized, enabling wet on wet techniques with plenty of water. The paint moves well and thereâs a minimal amount of buckling.Honestly my only reservation is that the cold press texture is weirdly mechanical and gridlike. It gives granulating paints an unappealing (to me) âcobblestoneâ or âfishscaleâ look instead of the more natural variegation you expect. Itâs annoying because itâs such a nitpicky flaw but it does make a significant difference!The paints I swatched here are Winsor & Newton professional, Mijello Mission Gold, and Daniel Smith.

For the price, I think this paper is amazing. I am definitely an amateur but I was very pleased with my watercolor sketches. I was surprised it is only 25% cotton. I love the rough woven cover too. I have three different sizes of these sketchbooks.

I love everything about this cute little sketchbook. It’s the perfect size to take with me wherever I go. The fabric cover is gorgeous, the paper thick and perfect for watercolour and ink without bleeding through. I even love the thickness of the elastic closure. It’s an all round quality little sketchbook, worth every penny I paid for it. I’ve now got the urge to collect the rest of the sketchbooks in this series!
