Five Stars, multiple updates in this review
Aaaaand yet another update- after using a tannin remover product from a company whose name rhymes with gRubio on my countertops, washing then fully drying them, I applied this product. Amazing! Before and after picture shown.Another update and I added the chair I just did to the photos. I should have done an additional coat on the glider bench, but that’s no reflection on the oil… I’m still lovin it[update below] it keeps being this awesome after day one.You should be seeing two shots of individual cedar planks, along with two shots of my pile of planks. I’m going to build a glider out of .Again, Why am I giving us four stars and not five? Because it’s just day one and I don’t know how well it really will cure. But it’s definitely going to be five stars if it cures as well as it looks right now.On the whitest spots it does have a yellow/green tone, but you almost have to look for it.Otherwise, I gave a very rich, deep reddish brown to the cedar, making it look like much more expensive aromatic cedar, I think. And one of my favorite parts?? Extremely low odor compared to other finishes/sealants. And that’s coming from somebody who uses fragrance free *everything* and will change seats if somebody nearby has on perfume, etc.Is this stuff cures well, I’ll be returning in a few days to change this to give stars.[Update #1- 48 hours and the wood in my garage borders on overpowering. It’s strange but it smells stronger today than while I applied it?][Update #2- 4 days in and the smell is gone. My wood is still a little bit oily, even though I wiped it down 30 minutes after application and again yesterday. I’m wondering if it’s because I used cedar?][ Update #3 – One week in. Dry to touch, no smell, still looks beautiful. I cut into one piece of wood and cut can see it soaked in maybe 1/2 to 1 millimeter. I just ordered a gallon, plus their cutting board help oil with bees wax].

    Wonderful scent
This environment friendly liquid is great. I’m so tired of wearing a mask and worrying about proper cleaning and dangerous chemicals. This is wonderful for my application of decorative wood carvings and walking sticks. I will purchase again

Great oil witn a great smell
This oil works great and smells even better. I mix one cup of oil with 1/4 cup of beeswax, microwave, stir, and repeat until all the wax is melted. Then, stir every few minutes until the mixture firms up to a thick paste. Rub this on wood for a beautiful finish

    Leaves a green tint
I had read hemp oil was a great sealer on chalk painted wood but it would deepen the look and darker. I tried this over white paint. I didn’t achieve the antique look I expected. The result was a tinted green. I should have known by the description hemp my leave a green color.

    Greater sealer for pine doors
I first used this oil on an unfinished dresser and loved how easy it was to apply. I decided to also seal all the new pine doors we installed. One picture shows all but the top with hemp oil applied so you can see color difference. It smells great and because it is non-toxic, I don’t have to worry with gloves that make my skin peel. Goes on super easy and seems to be very forgiving. I didn’t have any green color issues at all. I cannot speak to long term durability but fully expect to need to reapply at some point after cleaning any high traffic areas (aka dirty fingers and just hand oils). I call them ‘happy doors’!
