Other benefits and uses

Besides its magnificent purpose of curing and maintaining healthy skin, our yellow beeswax can be used for various things around the household

Beeswax has lubricating properties, making it suitable for easing the movement of wooden window frames and door joints. Its natural composition ensures it’s safe to use around the home. Beeswax won’t harm the wood and can help protect it from moisture. Just apply a small amount to the areas that need lubrication to reduce sticking or squeaking issues.

BeeswaxBeeswax

We bring the best that nature has to offer

Beeswax is the oldest wax in the world. At honey harvest time, the honeycombs are carefully opened to allow for honey to drain from the comb. The bees seal the honey into the combs with wax capping placed over every cell filled with honey. This capping is removed at harvest and is used in the production of our beeswax.

    Quality product
This is a lovely-colored block of beeswax with a uniform consistency, thickness, and texture. The smell is traditional and mild. It melted well and worked well alone as well as in combination with some white beeswax pellets I had.

    Great product
I haven’t actually used it yet, but it’s exactly what I ordered and it looks to be very nice.

    It’s Beeswax!
This is my first time using beeswax so I’m no expert, but it seems to be good quality wax. For the most part it’s just like any other wax. Compared to other available brands you do get a nice amount for your money. It is hard to cut which is normal for wax so you kinda have to shave pieces off instead of being able to cut a bigger chunk, but once again that seems normal for wax. Most people always say how good beeswax smells, but I personally don’t really notice that. I don’t get any kind of a real scent from it when solid and when melted it does have kinda a strange smell that I wasn’t expecting. It’s not necessarily a bad scent though and not necessarily a good scent, just different than I expected. Overall it seems like good stuff and I would buy it again and would recommend it!!

Great buy, smells strong of honey, melts as expected
My first time working with beeswax. I was put off by the strong smell — thought these blocks were scented — but my wife said they smelled like honey. Strong! But I thought about it and decided, “It smells like honeysuckle.” Well, duh! Anyway, I melted a block in a coffee can set in heated water (150F melting point, don’t need boiling water), then poured it into a pre-heated top feeder for my new hive. It worked well, although it cooled quickly and coated heavier than expected (about 1/16″). I used a heat gun and cheap paint brush to smooth it out to something resembling not-too-ugly. It now holds syrup well. The experience was worth it. I put a large string in the hot wax, and then poured a candle. I warmed a small ball of wax in my hand, then smeared it over the edges of a screen, and applied heat to use the beeswax as hot-glue to hold the screen in place. Looking forward to lubricating drawer slides, waterproofing match heads, pouring molds, and making a small, very small, car freshener (expect it’ll melt and put out smell, like a candle warmer). Nice, low temperature wax.Oh, and this is the best price/ounce I found in small quantities!

    Quality Bee’s Wax
Great Bee’s Wax- no impurities- melted great and smells faintly of honey. The blocks are hard to break apart, but that is to be expected- as long as you understand that going in, this is a great product!

Now this wax is a little more yellow then it should be but it smells like beeswax so I’m happy. I was starting to lose hope. It’s hard to cut and melt so I kinda peeled/shaved it if that makes sense to make it easier but it took a while

Unfortunately it is not “pure” beeswax. It is mixed with something. Bought to wax foundation for my bees but it smells funky, even I’d say – bad (thought it has some small hint of pure beeswax, but very little on the background). Texture is oily, not like a natural beeswax as well. Floats in 40% alcohol. Even the package looks like printed on the cheap black and white printer. I would say this “product” contains a bit of wax, but it is heavily mixed with something strange. Won’t risk to put it my hives. Returned.
