Hello beautiful people! Today I’m sharing my Bellabeautebar Dark Dreamscape Palette Review. I purchased this palette in October 2025 for $78 and have been obsessed with it ever since! Bellabeautebar has my number when it comes to most of their eyeshadow palette color stories. I’ve fallen hard for BBB. This detailed review also contains swatches and four looks for makeup inspiration.

Dark Dreamscape is a 20 pan magnetic palette. It has 11 buttery mattes, 1 shimmer, 2 holo chromes, and 6 multichromes.
Pricing
The USA price point of $78 for 20 shadows in the Dark Dreamscape palette breaks down to $3.90 per shadow. The €75,50 for 20 shadows breaks down to €3,78 per shadow. I consider that very affordable for high quality eyeshadows, especially special shades like multichromes and holo chromes.
Just to compare, Natasha Denona Scarab Chromium Liquid Eyeshadow (a gold yellow blue multichrome) is $28, About Face Holographic eye paints are $19, Urban Decay 24/7 Glaze-on liquid eyeshadows are $26, Urban decay 24/7 Moondusts are $25, and the KVD Dazzle Gels are $24. There really aren’t equivalent single eyeshadows for sale in more mainstream stores like Ulta and Sephora at a competitive price point, everything is much more expensive in my experience.
Eyeshadow Formula
Bellabeautebar describes their matte formula as buttery. I know that word can be divisive in the beauty community. How I describe the matte formula is that it is buildable and blendable. It spreads easily and you can build it up or blend it with another shadow.
The shimmer formula is one of those that I find applies best with your finger tips or a silicone brush for the most impact. While all the swatches in this post were done with finger tips on bare skin, the colors perform their best on eyeshadow primer. For the extra shimmery or glittery shades, I like to use Karla Fix Potion to help them have the most impact. Previously I used to use Urban Decay All Nighter Spray or a Glitter Glue for special shades.
The longevity I have on primer with these shadows is fantastic. I’ve fallen asleep in my eyeshadow once or twice, which is terrible for your skin, and had my eyeshadow remain intact with no creasing or fading. As someone who used to have hooded eyes and now has deepset eyes, eyeshadow primer is a must for me. My lids get oily, but primer keeps the oilies at bay and lets the eyeshadow last all day.

The pink and orange look above was fun. I used Psychokinetic, Parallel Dimension, Night Terror, Void, and Decay.
Icy teal blues steal the show! I used Wormhole, Supernatural, and a touch of Mirror Image.
The purple look above got so many compliments when I was out and about that day with friends. I used Void, Upside Down, and Subconscious.

How does Dark Dreamscape compare to other BBB palettes? Dark Dreamscape is more cool toned than Dead Roses, Recently Deinfluenced, and Basic Witch. It’s more purple heavy than Ocean Jewel, which leans more blue. And obviously it’s more colorful than my favorite cool toned neutral palette Morally Grey. Dark Dreamscape shares the buildable, blendable, excellent pigmentation for the mattes that the other palettes have. It also has a stunning shimmer formula so that the multichromes are impactful.
Is the Dark Dreamscape palette good for beginners?
Is the Dark Dreamscape palette good for beginners? In my opinion, yes. You can literally apply the mattes and shimmers with your fingers and still create an impactful look.
How do you make multichromes pop?
How do you make multichromes pop? I prefer to apply them with my fingertips (I was against using my fingertips for a long time because of my long nails) or a silicone brush over eyeshadow primer. A glitter glue like Karla Fix Potion or fixing spray like Karla Mist Potion (both of which I own and use) also intensifies them.
Does Dark Dreamscape work on fair skin?
Does Dark Dreamscape work on fair skin? Yes! My skin tone is very fair neutral cool. The pastel mattes and cool toned shades are especially flattering on very fair neutral and cool skintones.

Is Dark Dreamscape good for deepset eyes? Yes, the matte-heavy formula is ideal on my deepset. Eyeshadow primer is recommended to prevent creasing, just like I recommend to all my hooded eye friends, though honestly, I think everyone benefits from eyeshadow primer.

Is Dark Dreamscape worth the price? At $3.90 per shade including multichromes and holo chromes, it’s significantly more affordable than comparable individual specialty shadows at mainstream retailers, or even from some indies who can charge $15-20 for special shades.

Final Thoughts
So who is the Bellabeautebar Dark Dreamscape Palette for? If you love pastel goth makeup, purple makeup, cool toned makeup, eyeshadow that wears all day, this palette is for you. Skip if you’re into neutrals, don’t love to wear cool tones, and don’t like shimmer. Additionally, this palette looks amazing on very fair neutral skin like mine, but it is equally stunning on medium and deep skintones. I love that over half the shades are matte, as I prefer matte heavy palettes to flatter my deepset eyes. But you can pry the shimmer shades out of my cold dead hands, because I love them to be the star of the show.
Part of what has kept me from purchasing either the all pink or all purple palettes from Bellabeautebar is that I have so many lovely colors of both hues in my current BBB palette collection.
