    Great collection of 6 books!
Six very interesting workbooks that can help yo in your journey to better mental health.I must say I was really impressed by these books. At first I was very skeptical especially after seeing the reviews but I changed my mind as soon as I started reading Abandonment and Anxiety. The exercises helped me with introspective analysis of some of my behaviors and Addiction Recovery provided practical key notion.I highly recommend reading the chapter focused on Cognitive Distortions from the book Complex PTSD Trauma and Recovery. I have noticed that when I take into consideration that my thinking is falling into one of these mind traps, I feel less negative feelings, and I find my stress and anxiety to be more manageable. The methods are practical and easily attributed to one’s self. It discusses a lot, everything from EMDR Therapy to Somatic Therapy is covered. It is well researched and could definitely help you out if you’re struggling.Whether you are dealing with separation anxiety, addiction, depression or pain this may be a useful book.I highly recommend purchasing this great book that truly includes everything! As a plus I would like to say that these books truly help with a lot of different matters, from the innerself to the way we handle relationships with other people. I guess it would be great to have read these before and I’m sure that they can help a lot of people. Also keep in mind that we, as we grow up, we can use advice on how to handle life and this covers them. That’s pretty much it. You don’t really need to have a lot of problems on your head or a lot to worry about to read this because even if you feel that you’re happy and everything is good, these books can help you achieve a different goal.100% highly recommend. You won’t regret the purchase.

    Great Tool
This is a great tool to have or read while trying to not just understand your addiction but learn better ways to manage feelings or thoughts. As I’ve moved further in my recovery this book has been a great support to have. I highly recommend it!

Material is great, though print size is compacted
I think this got copied and reduced from larger workbooks, and there’s a big (useless) border around every page. That’s my only complaint though, because the material is excellent. I wasn’t sure how helpful filling out workbook pages was going to be, but I’ve really learned a lot about myself by doing them. There’s so much helpful reading material and the workbook format makes it engaging. Here I go, healthy adulthood, bye bye depression and anxiety!

    Informative, but excessive
I generally have liked the information provided in this book. I’ve read about all these topics before but she presents different information in new ways, which I appreciated. The “workbook” aspect is minimal, mostly “here’s space to write your private thoughts on the topic”. Some sections have sentence frames to fill out, but I wasn’t really feeling it. The main reason the rating is so low is that the author’s writing style gets to be so over the top (and after reading hundreds of pages of it, it hurts). She works so hard to incorporate analogies and imagery throughout the book, but by the time I got to the PTSD section, it was ridiculous and I decided to just skip that book. Simple straightforward information that could be given in one sentence takes whole paragraphs because everything is shadows, tapestries, orchestras and so many adjectives it’s just too much. At least the PTSD book should be rewritten.

    Excellent reading material!!
I started reading the Attachment theory, and it brought sooo much to light about the reason/issues behind the theory!! So I continued the next 5 books and learned such an extreme amount of the different subjects all in one thorough book. I would recommend this to anyone who feels confused about how and why they are the way they are, and will understand the meaning of their traumas, addictions and how to work through them. Way to go Emily for all the research!!

Good resource for therapists and life coaches
I’m a life coach and I am always looking for good resources on how to better understand psychology and mental health. This is a nice resource book with journaling exercises and different trauma responses explained along with different techniques used to cope with different things. I was impressed with the depth of details offered in this book. I’m very happy to have this book as part of my Kindle library. It even touches on the topic of pain management emotionally and physically.

This book offers good introductory information about the topics listed. It is not in-depth but good read for someone wanting the basics of the subject matter.

This is the greatest book I have ever read.It is a lifetime of knowledge (and it is clear that it had taken a very long time to write) from a practising clinician who, as far as I can tell, is THE most well-informed person on the subject, all in one book.It can be applied to you. Therapy like this would cost thousands, and that is even if you have the good fortune to find a therapist who knows anything about it.It is perfectly written and laid out, starting with explanations about the problem and ending with explanations of how to recover. At first it was hard to read because I was only just coming to terms with having childhood trauma, and was still feeling very upset about it. However the great thing about a book is that you can take as long as you like to finish it. As I read more I understood more and more and began to feel more and more free, understood, and positive. There is SO MUCH information in here, and it is all extremely useful and interesting. I often read one sentence several times because it made such an impact on me, and after some pages (most of them!) I would think for ten minutes until I read more. This is the most helpful book I have read on the subject, and I have read a lot. It has taken me a long time to read, but recovery takes a long time. I think that if you have not been traumatised and are just reading it for interest that you would read it quickly, as it is such a great book. I feel like it has transformed me. Thank you Emily!
