Smells and Look great
I love these diffusers. They work so well. I dipped the sticks in my favorite scent and put them in the car. You can control the scent, and they look good in the car.

Worth the price
It’s simple to use: you just put one of the cotton sticks in the scent of your choice and give it a few seconds to absorb the liquid. Then, put the cotton stick in the metal tube and attach the tube to your car vent (or wherever else you want it). It’s small and inconspicuous, which is a plus, and it’s priced well at $10 especially since there are quite a few of the cotton tubes included, and they’re reusable if you stick to the same scent. There are also two of the metal tubes included, so you can use this in 2 vehicles, or perhaps put one on an a/c vent in your home. The only complaint I have is that it’s difficult to figure out the scent adjustment feature. It’s clear that you simply turn the end of it, but you can’t really see the holes well enough to know whether you’re increasing or decreasing the airflow. You have to go by trial & error and smell. I’m sure I’ll find the “sweet spot” eventually, but I wish this was more clear and easy to see so that the guesswork would be eliminated.Because it’s reusable and there’s a good supply of cotton tubes included, it’s much less expensive in the long run than the Febreze or other vent clips, but it does seem like I’ll need to recharge the cotton more often that I would replace other vent clips. How much you spent on the oils will determine how much you end up saving, but I’m confident I’ll come out ahead in the long run, and I DO appreciate the fact that I am in control of deciding which scent I want to enjoy.

Need Replenishing Often
These are little cotton rod holders that clip on to a vent. You saturate the cotton rods with fragrance oil, then clip them to a vent. In theory, when air blows through them, they release the scent like spraying an air freshener. I tried this both clipped to an a/c vent and clipped to the fan that comes on with the light in my bathroom. I was hoping to eliminate having air fresheners in the bathroom to eliminate the odor associated with a daily constitutional. My vents are all on the ceiling. I found that I had to use a LOT of oil to get any effect at all — basically saturate that stick with as much oil as it was capable of holding. I’d get a good scent when I redipped the stick, but saw little difference between when the fan was running and when it was not. The scent was strong when the stick was freshly saturated, but within about a day and a half, I had to drag out the step stool once again to refresh the oil. In a mere couple of days, I went through as much oil as a typical diffuser uses in about a month and a half, and I never had as much scent effect as I get when running a diffuser. And I made sure I tried it with the clip holders both fully open and partially closed. These may work better in a smaller area, such as a car, versus a small room like a powder room. The idea is very nice. It’s just that bottles of essential or fragrance oil are not cheap, and cost a lot more than those solid air fresheners you can get at the dollar store. Additionally, you really do have to refill these every couple of days. It’s almost like the fan blowing on the stick prematurely dries it out.The gadget itself is reasonably priced, and includes plenty of extra cotton sticks for trying out a variety of scents. It just takes a lot of oil to saturate a rod, and it’s kind of awkward trying to remove and redip a rod without getting oil all over you. I definitely recommend that if you try these, you buy some cheaper fragrance oils versus pricey essential oils, as you will go through a lot of it to keep the cotton rods emanating scent.

Simple but effective
These little fragrance diffusers are a clever ideaâa customizable alternative to disposable clip-on air fresheners. The design is simple but effective: a well-machined metal tube with an inner rotating sleeve. Turning the sleeve adjusts the airflow by opening or blocking the slots on the outer tube, controlling how much fragrance gets released. These seem to be designed for, or at least work best with, fragrance oils (like those used in reed diffusers) rather than pure essential oils. You need a decent amount of liquid to fully saturate the wick, and essential oils are typically too concentrated and expensive for that. The instructionsâbasically just pictures on the back of the boxâdonât offer much guidance on this. Thereâs no mention of which oils work best, if anything should be avoided, or how long to soak the wicks. It also doesnât clarify whether the wicks are reusable or how long theyâre supposed to last. Also, I don’t know where to get replacement sticks, but I guess I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.One design flaw is the adjustment scaleâa set of circles that increase in size to indicate intensity. Since this is also the end you remove to insert the wick, the markings donât actually align to anything once reinserted, since you can put it back in at any rotational position. The only real way to gauge the intensity is by checking how much of the wick is visible through the slots. Also, Iâve found that once the diffuser is clipped onto a vent, adjusting the intensity is a bit tricky. The end cap sits so close to the vent fin that itâs hard to get a good grip on it.That aside, the build quality is nice, and the concept is solid. If youâre looking for a reusable, refillable way to freshen up small spaces, this does the job.
