Thereâs a reason why this isnât my first WoodWick..
First woodwick I had was the Woodwick Vanilla Bean oblong candle. It almost looked like a mini fireplace, I loved it! Problem is – itâs too expensive to replace it.So I settled for the WoodWick Hourglass in Fireside – sure enough, I didnât settle for less! If youâve ever just melted and caramelized sugar in a sauce pan – thatâs what this particular candle smells like! Just has a touch of sweet, woodsy scent along with it. Love how the lid of the candle doubles as a base to protect your surfaces!When you light it for the first time, the flame will appear offset but just give it a chance to do its job. The flame engulfs the wood wick and immediately starts crackling – just like a fireplace on a small scale! The flame is bright enough to light up a small room for a romantic or soothing environment. Very therapeutic.Like any candle, you have to maintain them. Make sure to carefully read the label on the bottom of the jar before you light it so you know what to do. Please donât flip it while itâs lit and be careful when blowing it out as the wax on these candles are much less viscous than other candles. I donât recommend using this candle for longer than 3 1/2 to 4 hours cause the wax liquefies quickly on the second or third use.This candle is totally worth every bit of the $18 I paid for it and I look forward to buying my next one from here! Shipped quickly, got here the next day.

A favorite!
This is a candle I treat myself to and give as a gift frequently. This scent and color is specifically great to me! These candles have strong glass (I’ve used them for other purposes after empty) and burn perfectly. The crackling and strong aroma are very relaxing! A bit expensive for a candle but I’m telling you… it’s worth it every so often, at least!

Very Nice Candle
I love the flickering wick, which also makes faint crackling noises like a wood fire. This scent is really nice, although it has triggered my allergies a little bit. I tend to react to some strong scents, but still think this this fragrance is nice. Since it was a gift, I don’t know how expensive it was, but…like most name-brand candles these days…I guess it was rather costly. Didn’t bother to check the price on this site since it was a gift. I do recommend this brand of candles, though, and this one in particular.

Fireside scent? Not Really. Love the design and the unique crackling wick
Not exactly what I was hoping for though.My review is a little plagiarism from someone else’s post a year ago. But they said exactly how I was feeling about the scent. I almost gave it 3 stars because I thought the scent was so far off from a Fireside. What was I expecting? More of a scent/smell when you go outside your home and you know someone in your neighbourhood has a fire going in their fireplace. This one has a slight floral sweetness I can’t quite describe. The crackling of the wick is pleasant, and the fragrance is strong without being overpowering.All in all, I like it. But if you want a candle that smells more like a campfire in the woods, this is not it.

Nice scent, great burn time
For clarity, I’m reviewing the 21 oz Fireside candle. It lasted me about 4 weeks of “normal” use, which for me means burning it for about 4 hours on weekdays. So maybe 80 hours of burn time total. Not quite as strong as B&BW when burning, but lasts much longer even accounting for the fact that B&BW 3-wick candles are 14.5 ounces, not 21. I go through a B&BW candle in about 2 weeks. Will definitely buy this brand again!

Disappointed that the candle jar looks like the candle has melted and the wick is slightly damaged. The smell is ok but I do smell that waxy smell that lower quality candles smell like. I expected better for a $40 candle.
