Make Your Own Beard or Body Oil!
This product was a hit for both me and my wife! We didn’t like having to pay ridiculous amounts for tiny bottles of beard, facial, and body oil, so we used this to get creative to make our own for substantially less!PROS:+ Amazing Carrier Oil! Add a few drops of essential oil to about 1-2 ounces for incredible aroma! The oils mix well and do not cloud, the E oil releasing the fragrance well when applied.+ Mega Moisture! I love this stuff on my crispy face fur. It hydrates and stays there without feeling greasy when just a few drops are used (don’t splash it on!) and nourishes both my beard and my chin. For the wife, she loves it on her face to help with dry patches and redness, noticing also a plumping effect on the forehead. We both are using this too for dry elbows and knees.+ Neutral Scent. This stuff doesn’t stink or smell musty like other oils we’ve bought for our home crafting. the bottle is sealed well and arrived fresh, with no musky oxidization and a very clear, clean, neutral smell. The neutrality allowed it to be worn on its own, or lets an essential or fragrance oil shine through. I paired it with sandalwood, black pepper, and vanilla to smell like a prince!+ Absorbs Fast. I hate oils that leave a grime on the skin or gunk in my beard. This one doesn’t. Although my gal says it can sit a bit heavy on the face if used too much, the right amount absorbs into skin very well, especially the dry skin on my chin and into my beard for long-lasting moisture. On the body, I get flake-free elbows and knees all day. It’s a game changer for ashy skin.+ EZ Dispensing Lid. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m clumsy. This bottle comes with a dispensing pop-top that lets me fill small beard oil bottles without splashing or using a funnel. It seals well and doesn’t leak.+ Bald Guy Hero! My scalp needs more love than I usually give it, and lotions don’t often help. A few drops of this oil after a shower keeps my chrome dome looking sharp and dryness free. The moisture retention qualities are better than a head lotion I used to use.CONS:- Clear Bottle. Oils can get musty quickly when exposed to light. This bottle is large and will take many months to use, so we keep it in a cool dark place to ensure it is fresh.- May be too light for extra dry skin or beards. Although the oil is great on my chin, I have a few patches of sideburns that are execptionally flaky. The oil wasn’t enough for this or for cracked hands, so I used a balm for those spots.- Heavy if overapplied. This isn’t much of a con, but a warning fo those new to oils. A few drops is all you need for moisture. It’s best on the body right after a shower to hold moisture in. Too much may make the skin feel grimy or sticky, or make my beard look greasy.
