A loving journal
The opening pages on mental health are gold. The wording is perfect and the font is calming. I will look at them daily for guidance. The journal is the perfect size. I canât believe I got this for under $30. I just started today and itâs very easy to use.

Reasonably helpful
I suppose most of these therapeutic diaries are the same; I think their purpose is for the user to organize his / her thoughts and gain some insight. This book is nicely bound.

I love this journal. The covers are sturdy and it is well made. The pages are thick so use of gel pens donât show through. The prompts are great in order to reflect on your goals fpr the day as well as how it turned out.

Next best thing to actual therapy
If you commit to learning and following through with the steps and techniques in this journal and are honest with yourself this should help you to begin dealing with anxiety and possibly depression. The journal focuses on intervention methods from cognitive behavioral therapy such as cognitive reappraisal/reframing and has a heavy focus on mindfulness and meditation. These are all proven and effective treatments in reducing stress and helping with both anxiety and many forms of depression. However, this is where you have to commit to putting in the work. Not engaging with the exercises or being dishonest with yourself when answering prompts or tracking goals would undermine the effectiveness of the treatment. You have to continue to put in the effort and not just casually check off boxes or write down answers that don’t require you to actually assess your issues and move forward. This is NOT a replacement for therapy and especially with depression, I’d urge people to seek professional help but this could be an effective self-help tool for those with mild to moderate anxiety, mild depressive symptoms, or those looking to reduce stress. It could also be a good tool to use in conjunction with therapy and medical interventions. My only dislike is that the claims made in the written guides, while true, are not cited with any literature on their effectiveness.

I like this journal for me to continue to do the work on my mental health journey. This is no substitute for professional help but helps me stay aware & accountable. I wish it came with calendar pages as well, but overall good purchase.

Would recommend for EVERYONE!
This is a great journal for someone who practices (or would like to practice) daily reflection and gratitude. The journal offers so much: Information about anxiety and depression, mindfulness exercises, setting boundaries, personal affirmations, habit tracking (!!), and daily reflection, such as gratitude, self-care, focus energy level, and positive thoughts. The end of the journal contains several prompts to write longer entries. The journal cover and binder rings are very sturdy. This journal will be beneficial for everyone, not just those with mental health disorders.

This was a well-thought-out and well-constructed journal. It is spiral-bound, which is nice because you can just flip to the page of the section you are currently on. I appreciate the affirmations, mindfulness exercises, and lessons on boundaries. I’m not as much into the writing prompts, but it has a little of something for everyone.
