Loved the item, wishing that it came in a larger size like the Crisco shortening tubs, Loved that it is in a glass container not plastic. Also wishing that the container would make a statement of no refrigerator required after opening. FANTASTIC OIL FOR COOKING AND SUPPLEMENTING HEALTH
Great Tasting Oil. Have used it to pan fry foods over a medium to medium high flame, low enough in order to keep the smoke point in check, and it works and tastes great. Subtle hint of coconut without being overpowering. I’ve tried other oils and have chocked. This is good stuff, nice and smooth. I also give tablespoons of it to my 12 year old Great Dane to help with his digestion and I’m trying to see if it will help coat his throat a little so that airborne pollutants don’t cause him to cough like a human with post nasal drip when dust and stuff gets into his airway. He loves the stuff as well and it might be helping him it’s just a bit too early to say for sure. Only been a couple days. Raw honey is the #1 choice for a tickle in the throat and a sore throat but with raw honey comes a rare but possible and very serious infection with botulism. The spores are naturally found in honey and although stomach acids break it all down 99% of the time I’m not gambling on that 1% with him that’s for sure. Coconut oil is a safer alternative. When I crack the lid on the jar he knows what time it is and his drool starts pouring out of his mouth like a broken water pipe. Really good stuff. Lots of health benefits.

In fairness – I am no coconut oil expert. In fact, this is the first time I’ve ever bought coconut oil and I based it off others reviews. I’m not using it to cook so I couldn’t tell you how it tastes. I’ve started using it on my eczema and my son’s eczema. Because I have a baby at home I wanted something natural (instead of all the harsh steroids). This has helped both me and my son tremendously and it has a nice, light scent. It soaks into your skin quickly. Great product!
