Insightful Read!
From the second chapter, I felt like I was reading a description of myself. When the author introduced the concept of âpopcorn brainââwhere thoughts jump rapidly from one subject to anotherâI felt truly seen. That scattered, all-over-the-place feeling resonated deeply with me.Chapters five and six felt a bit disjointed, though that might be because Adult ADHD hasnât affected my friendships in the way the book describes. I was relieved not to be a complete textbook caseâuntil I reached chapter eleven, the one about self-esteem. That chapter hit like a ton of bricks. As a child, I was often forgetful and labeled careless, and reading about those experiences in this context brought back a flood of memories. The affirmations at the end of the chapter have been especially helpful. Iâve written several down and now repeat them daily. The chapter on setting personal boundaries was another highlight. The author not only explains why boundaries are essential but also provides practical ideas for implementing them, along with journal prompts to guide self-reflection.All in all, this was an excellent read that offers valuable insight into Adult ADHD, along with practical strategies to identify triggers and navigate them. Who knew that learning to set boundaries could be such a powerful act of self-care? A truly insightful read!

An Essential Resource for ADHD Management
If you’re struggling to cope with ADHD, this is a valuable read. You are provided with practical and highly effective strategies to help manage emotions, energy, and relationships while keeping stress at a minimum. These approaches make self-care feel feasible rather than just another chore on your to-do list. For instance, the section that centers on mindfulness provides techniques that can be implemented in a short space of time, which is particularly helpful if you lead a busy life. The narrative tone throughout is encouraging and warm. The author clearly understands what it’s like to have ADHD and is knowledgeable about the specific challenges that adults with this condition face.To sum up, this is a helpful and encouraging guide to navigating daily life with ADHD. Moreover, it’s also an excellent resource for anyone wanting to improve their understanding of this condition. Even if you don’t have ADHD yourself, you may know someone who does, and this book will inspire you to understand and empathize with their daily challenges.

Light hearted
From the start this book had me laughing about all that I experience with ADHD. the visual images of the dogs explain it just right. I also enjoyed the incorporation of the bits of scientific pieces without being overkill. If you are looking for a lighthearted book this is it.

A must have with adults with ADHA!!
This book is a gem! I liked it so much that I bought the paper version to bring it everywhere. It has made me feel “normal” since the very beginning! I loved the first picture with the dog. I thought it described me perfectly!! It is very insightful, and I recommend it for people that just realised they have ADHA 100%

Spot on for Adult ADHD
I have adult ADHD, and I’m acutely aware of its manifestations. As I began reading the book, the self-diagnosing parts, those with questions like, Do you find yourself doing this and that, – those were quite a bit off for me. But then I realized that I’ve been managing my ADHD holistically for about 10 years now, so the way it shows up in me has really evolved to the point that I’m rather effective. So, I won’t take a star off for that – and whether you’re new to the awareness of your ADHD or not, the book is spot on in terms of solutions. Its pages are filled with actionable, practical advice, techniques, hacks, etc. The author also does a great job of alleviating your anxiety caused by the fact that you have ADHD – makes you feel good about yourself – I like that – and we need that. I’m giving this solid 4.5 stars – hence the actual five star rating. If you have or suspect you have ADHD, this book will help – without fluff. Very recommended.
