I hung one in my car with pure essential oil from RMO not the Amazon fake ones. And I donât smell anything.

Works well for closets, not just cars
I actually ordered these air fresheners to put peppermint oil in some small closets to deter critters, figuring that since they’re for a small car space, they would work, and so far they’ve been great. These little bottles fill the closets and pantry with scent, and haven’t leaked which is a big plus. They all arrived intact in boxes, with no cracks in the glass or any defects I could see. I followed the advice of another reviewer to tilt the bottles after filling so that the wooden tops got soaked with oil, which seems to help give a stronger scent. There are ties you can use to hang these from a car mirror, but I just have them sat on shelves and they still diffuse a scent. I can definitely see this working well in a vehicle, but I’m not sure they are leak proof so I wouldn’t want them to fall and possibly spill. But for my purposes they’re perfect.

More than worth it!
Three of these for this price is a steal! I put some frankincense and myrrh in one and put it in my car. The next morning, I opened my car door and the smell was amazing. Every time I opened my door and someone was near by, they asked me what I was using as an air freshener. So many compliments. They work so well. I also put one in the closet in the spare room. You can use any scent you wish. More than worth it!

Unfortunately, these don’t work. The only way to get it to release any scent is to tip it upside down and soak the wooden top, otherwise it will emit literally no scent. There are no holes to allow scent to escape.
