Its just that good
This is kind of a cult classic for me now. Ive bought plenty of more expensive lotions that are good in their own way.. but this one I will always have around. This stuff just seals the moisture right in. I layer over a body oil after I get out of the shower and it creates the absolute best barrier against the elements, especially in winter. Ive literally never felt it sting or had a reaction to it at all and end up gravitating to using it on my face over serums too. It goes very well under makeup and even acts like a primer imoAnyway, that’s my rave on this product. Oh and it smells fresh and clean 🙂

Hair and Skin Care – Vitamin C
I’m a 50 year old female with health issues, my meds tend to turn my skin into scaled alligator skin. I modeled until my mid 30’s so, I’m very critical of my skin and hair. I have really great genetics and really great skin but, suffer from chronic dehydration – when I have these moments, I look 20 years older than I am. I just couldn’t take hydrating from the inside any longer because I hate having anything on my skin. I’ve purchased many products in the past 6 months but, this one was the best (Vitamin C duo).I was VERY skeptical of this product because none of the others worked. This is my routine for skin and hair…Hair – I put 4 dropper fulls of Vitamin C serum and 1 teaspoon of glycerin in my favorite moisturizing conditioner. Shake very well. Wash hair in the evening (I do it about an hour before bed so I don’t sleep with wet hair) apply a liberal amount of conditioner and massage from scalp to ends. Put on my silk sleep bonnet and go to sleep. In the morning, remove bonnet and fluff hair. My hair is so thick, plump and nourished. It also enhances my natural curly hair (color treating my hair tends to straighten my hair). I LOVE WHAT IT DOES TO MY HAIR!Skin (face, bedtime) – Right before bed, I wash my face with a semi coarse washcloth and a glycerin based soap (never lye, so horrible for your skin). I make my own soap heavily fortified with cocoa butter. Your water should be luke warm – to hot could shock your skin and to cold can shock your skin and close your pores. Anyways, now that skin is clean I apply retinol serum under my eyes with a Q-Tip and let dry. I apply Vitamin C serum to my forehead, nose, cheeks, ears, behind ears, neck and chest. Rub and massage well until absorbed. Once absorbed, I apply my Vitamin C lotion to the same areas and massage in well. I then take a Q-Tip and apply a generous coat of glycerin under my eyes (over the retinol). Spritz face and chest with rose water and let dry naturally. Move on to next step, HANDS!Skin (hands / feet, bedtime) – After my face, I move on to bedtime hands. Wash hands and feet thoroughly and gently exfoliating cloth. I apply 5 drops of collagen serum to the back of each hand and massage in thoroughly. I apply 10 drops of collagen serum to each foot and massage in thoroughly. I then apply a generous coat of Vitamin C lotion to my hands and massage thoroughly. Apply an extra generous amount to feet, focusing on between the toes and heels, put on socks. I put on my spandex gloves now and spritz the back of my gloves with water. When I’m ready to go to sleep, I take off my gloves and socks and go to bed.Skin (face, morning) – When I get up in the morning, I wash my face with lukewarm water. With a Q-Tip I apply Vitamin C serum under my eyes and my crows feet. I then apply my Vitamin C lotion to the rest of my face, ears, neck and chest. I then take another Q-Tip and apply glycerin to my under eyes. Spritz face and chest with rose water. Take a cotton round, cut in half and wet it with rose water, apply to under eyes for 15 minutes. Remove cotton round after 15 minutes. Done!I know it seems like a lot but, it truly isn’t. The end result is so incredibly worth it – no more crepey skin or fine lines under my eyes when I smile and I look 10 years younger.TIPS: If your Vitamin C seems like it’s just floating on your skin or feels sticky after you apply it – it’s most likely because your skin is already hydrated and can’t absorb anymore moisture. I personally just deal with it because of the other benefits of Vitamin C.If it seems like your Vitamin C regimen isn’t working and your skin is still dehydrated – your environment is most likely to dry. Try getting a cold air humidifier and let it run through the day – I have my humidifier sitting in front of my rotating fan for better moisture circulation. My home is particularly dry which is why I spritz and dampen my gloves at bedtime. If your environment is to dry, your Vitamin C will pull moisture from the skin and make you look drier (wrinklier). Humidity (I prefer cold because it’s already to hot here) helps A LOT!Be patient, it could take up to about a week to start seeing sustainable results. I’ve been using this regimen for about 2 weeks and now seeing incredible results. I missed a regimen a few days ago and didn’t have time to do my routine, right before I put my makeup on, I spritzed with rose water and massaged my under eyes with the rose water and my skin plumped right up and held up for the day.

So I gave the serum to my mother, as I only wanted to use the Retinol lotion. It definitely makes your skin soft and evens your skin tone as it states (my mother could see visible improvement to minor scars on my legs and commented on how soft my legs are randomlyâ mind you, my legs weren’t even shaved either, and she’s an honest person). The product will last you for about a month or two with daily, and you will actually see results with DAILY CONSISTENT USE. I used the lotion all over my body with the Collagen and Vitamin C lotions from Advanced Clinicals, and altogether they made my skin softer, I have not had a single itch anywhere on my body since using these lotions consistently, and they don’t have any unpleasant scents nor is the lotion too thick. If you want to see results faster, its important to actually use sunscreen and exfoliate your skin, otherwise the product will work slowly or not at all.I will be buying this lotion again, since there is really no one else who sells retinol lotion at this size for an affordable value. One things that I think could be better for this lotion and the serum would be to include exactly how much retinol is in the products, as it works, but some people might want something that is stronger or to know how much retinol is actually present before they purchase.

Works!! Scents are mild and lovely. Absorbs in a minute or two – gear to use right or if the shower with towel-dry skin when you can let the lotion soak in for another couple of few minutes. Totally worth it!!

NOT GREASY!!!
I am very sensitive when it comes to lotions being greasy and thick. I was so surprised with how fast this just melted into my skin. I used the retinol on my face and immediately could feel my skin reacting in a not so nice way. It irritated it so wonât be using that on my face anymore. The green coffee bean has a slightly sugary sweet smell (I donât care for sugary smells) but itâs light enough Iâm not overly annoyed. I can definitely immediately tell itâs soften my skin. Will update when I see more results.I hate winter for the fact that my skin gets so dry and I was so happy when I could immediately feel my skinâs relief after putting these on. Definitely softening but we will see about firming. Iâve lost a lot of weight and was hoping these would help with the cellulite and with tightening up some of the areas. We shall see if it was worth the hype. (1/23/2025)

For years I have had dryness issues specially during winter where my nose, upper cheeks and above my eyebrows would get really dry and keep flaking off, no matter what moisturizer or face wash I use. Then I found this while researching and from the very first application I started seeing results. Now I’m in frigid winter of 12F (-10C) and three applications in the dryness is completely gone.
