Product Description
A Smokey Charred Woods Fireplace Type Blend
This delightfully woody blend inspired by the Gramercy Park hotel scent, opens with a gentle stream of soft, aromatic amber mist and the sweet scent of buttery vanilla flower. The heart of the perfume soon emerges, vibrant with the scent of aged, soft leather, potent jasmine, and the smooth, creamy notes of sandalwood. It concludes with a dry down characterized by bold, smoky charred wood, an enticing, smoky musk, and the deep, woody, balsamic notes of guaiacwood.

Candle Making Scents
Use fragrance oil at a rate of 6-10% of the total wax weight (e.g., for 500g wax, use 30-50g of fragrance oil).Add the fragrance to the wax once it has cooled to around 60-65°C (140-149°F) to prevent the scent from degrading.Stir gently but thoroughly to ensure even distribution. Pour into molds when ready.
Soap Making Scents
For cold process soap, add fragrance oil at light trace, using 0.75-1.5 oz per pound of soap base. Test for fragrance stability and color change in a small batch first. For melt and pour soap, add fragrance after the base has melted but before it cools too much (around 55-60°C or 130-140°F), at about 0.5-1 oz per pound of soap.Stir well to avoid pockets of oil and pour into molds.

Smells wonderful!
I was really discouraged by the smell right out of the bottle, but when I put it in my diffuser I fell in love. My house smells so nice. Itâs almost like fancy fabric softener or something. Itâs clean but comforting and subtle. Start small with less drops and build to your liking.

Gramercy Park’s Cade 26 Scent – AirScent No. 1035
I like the scent and it is a balanced “atmosphere” blend of scents. That said, my partner states that there is a smoked/”beef jerky” smell that they can’t shut up about, so I will diffuse this when they are not around, LOL.The bottle was full, no leaks and high quality/ potent requiring less drops to get a good sense of the scent and lasted an entire 6 hour cycle without changing scent notes or fading excessively.I like this brand and another scent is my current favorite FO, this bottle had a euro-dropper lid in lieu of the glass dropper of the previous “Hotel Collection” scents which is OK, but seems cheaper and not as “special” of an experience nor as fast, especially getting it started.

Wow!! I’m IN LOVE!
Full disclosure: I haven’t been to Gramercy Park nor smelled Cade 26, but as a fraghead, I know a good scent when I smell one. And this is a very good one. The only problem is you have to be up close to pick up all the notes. When I first fired up the diffuser and sat down across the room, I picked up a very nice scent that was nothing like the description. I was expecting woodiness and smoky leather, but what I smelled was a clean, powdery, white-musky violet/iris. The first thing that came to mind was “clean linen”. Not the classic “clean linen” scent – that would be Tide detergent – but one of many ways clean linen SHOULD smell like. I couldn’t get enough of it, so I moved right next to the diffuser, and THAT was when I picked up the rest of the described notes. There’s a subtle but distinct cedar, and not just any cedar, but a smoky cedar – cade, in other words. I’m impressed by how they added just enough smokiness to evoke charred cedar, but not to overpower the overall scent, as smokiness is wont to do. I have hundreds of fragrances in my collection, many of which lean woody/powdery, but none like this. My armchair detective self wonders if the top notes are achieved with Ambroxan and the base with Iso E Super, though the latter would produce a more noticeable citrus note. My fraghead self, meanwhile, is eagerly awaiting a 4 oz version. On that note (har har), I should mention the strength. I used 7 drops in a 100 ml diffuser on continuous mode, and the scent is nice and strong. There are 20 drops in 1ml of liquid, so this 10ml bottle should yield about 200 drops, enough for one month of daily use. $10/month for a single fragrance is a bit steep for me, but once the 4 oz version is available, following the company’s typical pricing patterns, that should come down to $3/month.It’s too bad it’s not formulated for skin contact, or I’d have a whole other rabbit hole to go down, formulating body sprays and lotions with this stuff.

Leather, Smoke, Wood – The Perfect Aroma for Cold Winter Evenings
I typically gravitate towards woody, musky, and smoky scents, and Gramercy Parkâs Cade 26 Scent is exactly my kind of fragrance. As a big fan of AirScent Essential Oils, this one certainly does not disappoint. Iâve never been to the Gramercy Park Hotel, but this scent makes me imagine you’d find leather sofas, wood wall panelling and crackling open fires there … an all together cozy, warm, and wonderful atmosphere.Iâm currently using this oil in a water diffuser. Although it’s not as strong as some other AirScent Essential Oils Iâve tried, it still fills the room with a beautiful aroma that perfectly suits my taste. Itâs ideal for the winter months or whenever I want to feel snug and comforted. One downside, however, is the dropper cap. I find it difficult to dispense the essential oil with accuracy, and personally, I much prefer the glass dropper that was included with previous bottles. I hope the company considers bringing that back, as it was much easier to use.

Hotel Diffuser Oil – GPH scent
Great fragrance, not too overpowering, and does actually remind me of the lobby in the Gramercy Park Hotel (Iâve spent a bit of time meeting people there, as it isnât too far from my home.) Iâve been waiting to run through the last of another fragrance and was very happy to finally use this. The scent isnât too âsynthetic feelingâ in my opinion⦠itâs quite refreshing to come home to. I typically dilute my fragrances and use them in a small water diffuser so a little goes a long way for my small space – this works as well or better than all the other fragrance oils I have tried in the past. This little bottle is a nice self-care bonus that encourages me to make use of my tiny humidifier during these dry winter days.

Smells good, but not amazing
I would describe this scent as an incense type scent, which I tend to love. Earthy, a bit masculine, slightly sweet. It does smell good, but I wasn’t wowed by the first sniff. My photo shows the bottle next to a US penny to illustrate size. There is a dropper insert under the cap that allows you to just turn the bottle upside down with the lid off to dispense as many drops, one at a time, as you need. Overall it’s good and I like it, but it’s not unforgettable.
