The journals from Peter Pauper Press are always a great bargain. This is my 1st time with this particular style & I love the design and gold trim and gilded pages.The only thing with this particular journal is that the pocket in the back had come unglued. I was a little disappointed especially because I don’t have any glue on hand but that’s never happened before and this was a sale item. I didn’t feel it was worth knocking off a whole star over, so maybe 4½ stars?I have bought several journals already. I never started buying journals from the same manufacturer because I like variety, but each is so unique and it’s such a great deal!

I use this as a planner for my music production, and it’s perfect for that. While it’s a bit small for a diary, the design is absolutely stunningâtaken from an 1893 book binding for a Shakespeare collection, which is a dream for any Art Nouveau fan. The paper is a great thickness, and my ballpoint pen glides smoothly over it. Plenty of pages to last a long time, and it feels far more expensive than it is. A total beauty!
