How Did We Get Our Start?
Back in the mid-1990s, our founder Bill Whyte worked as a carpenter. He worked hard, and so did his hands. They would often split and crack in the frigid New England winters. One night, seeking a soothing solution, he mixed up some beeswax and olive oil to create a simple herbal balm. It helped his hands so much, he decided to share it with everyone he knew – and the rest, as they say, is Badger history.

Great natural sunscreen
It works. But it dries your face out. I used it with nothing and when I got home I felt like my face was going to shrivel up. I have to wear a Moisturizer under this for sure.

Works well, safer ingredients, smells weird
Iâve been on a journey to switch my home and body products to more natural ones with less toxic ingredients. I am pretty meticulous about wearing sunscreen on my face and neck so I gave this product a try. I do like it, it takes a little longer to rub into the skin fully and it is a little greasy but once it absorbs then it leaves my skin feeling velvety and soft. My only dislike is that it smells weird, like mud/clay which makes sense because itâs mineral sunscreen. The smell doesnât last too long though. I recommend trying it if you are looking for a sunscreen with safer ingredients!

Everywhere we put the sunscreen we fried. Applied every hour for 3 hours in the sun and this is what happened to us. Wanted to do the âhealthierâ option for sunscreen but itâs back to Coppertone!

It’s very shiny and greasy
I used it 1x on my face and it broke out my forehead and I never break out and I’m 40 years old. I do not recommend it however it is unscented which is the good part about it and maybe it works better for use on the body only.
