Excellent natural moisturizer!
I’m loving Beef Tallow for my skin! The texture is rich and creamy, and it absorbs really well. I used it on my face and I can say that my skin is softer and more hydrated, with a healthy and radiant touch. The herbal-rose scent is delicate and super pleasant, creating a feeling of freshness. If you’re looking for a natural and effective moisturizer, this is an excellent choice!

Soft Skin, Hydration, Scent, And Break Outs. Everything Is Better!
For anyone who is worried it smells like beef. Please donât worry! I got the herbal rose scent and it smells amazing! I asked my boyfriend as well if he could smell any beef and he said no. Just flowers. I use it on my face and hands and Iâve never felt so hydrated! I work in produce freezers/coolers and it just makes my skin peel from dryness. But this has helped SO much! My hands donât look like little old lady hands anymore lol. I do tend to get break outs so I was worried itâll clog my pores even more. And so far it hasnât! Right now I only have two break outs which a huge difference from before. It can feel a little heavy on your face. So maybe start with small amounts. But I love this product! I put it on every time I wash my face. And it just makes it sooo soft! 10/10 I would recommend!

This will not let me add a review for whatever reason. I am shortening it to bare minimum and maybe it will post. If it goes through, I will try to update with my full original review.

Very nice tallow balm!
This product is wonderful! It feels great and smells great if you donât mind a light rose smell. Probably my favorite thing I have ever put on my face. Very pleased and will buy again. It would only be better if the jar were shorter and wider because itâs quite deep to get your finer down into towards the last couple of inches.

Great moisturizer!
This is a wonderful, natural moisturizer! Leaves my skin very smooth. I was surprised how fast-absorbing and lightweight it is. Not greasy in the slightest! The scent is also very pleasant and subtle.

Amazing Moisturizer! âââââ
I absolutely love this beef tallow balm! Itâs incredibly nourishing, leaves my skin super soft, and absorbs well without feeling greasy. The herbal-rose scent is light and pleasant. Plus, knowing itâs grass-fed and natural makes it even better. Perfect for dry skin and a must-have in my skincare routine!

Had a lovely little handwritten note inside thanking me for my purchase. It was a nice touch. The tallow has a nice consistency and feel. I feel like I can detect a beef smell even though it is lavender scented. My husband didn’t. It would not keep me from using the product. I’m on the tallow train.

This Tallow has a pleasing, subtle orange scent. Application in tiny amounts is easy. After two nights of using, I see results. The best partâ¦itâs made in Canada; something we need now, more than ever! The little note in the box was a very nice touch. Please keep making this product.

Tallow has become my new favourite skin moisturizer. My previous go-to skin moisturizer previously was a mixture of shea butter and coconut oil, but I found it just hasnât cut it on my face or legs anymore. I did a switched to Cerave and this has been much better for long-term moisturizing and reducing the redness of my cheeks. But I really would prefer something more natural and since tallow seems to be all the rage these days, I decided to test out a few different products to see how they work for my skin. This is one of the products I have tests and I am very pleased with the results.I have been using this item for a couple weeks now, mostly on my face. For comparison I applied this mixture to one side of my face and did my standard face creams on the other side of my face to see how well this compares to what I am used to. It has been very cold lately, which means itâs also been very dry with the furnace running so often. I have had to apply this a bit more often then normal, but it has held up just as long as the Cerave during this type of weather. The product absorbs into the skin well and quickly, without leaving greasy residue. The smell of the product is pretty subtle with a mild lavender smell. This product is thick and more like a balm then a cream, kind of like the consistency of butter, where itâs hard and needs some heat to spread. You need to warm up the moisturizer with your fingers, but I find you only need small amount and it goes a long ways on your face. Overall this product has not only been a great moisturizer but has also reduced some of the redness I get from a health condition that causes a red butterfly rash on my face. While a little goes a long ways, because of the consistency of this item it is a bit harder to apply on larger body parts. I have tried it on my legs, and is does work well at moisturizing them, but I do find it feels like it takes a decent amount to cover my legs and this seems like a costly option for moisturizing larger body areas. The bottle lists the ingredients: triple rendered beef tallow, jojaba oil, beeswax, vitamin E, lavender. I am happy to find a great natural option for moisturizing my face.

This was my first time trying a tallow balm with a firmer texture, and it definitely has its pros and cons. The balm itself is solid in the container, but once you warm it up between your fingers, it melts into a smooth, spreadable oil. I found it incredibly nourishing for my dry skin, especially during the colder months. It creates a nice protective barrier that helps with dry patches or healing spots, though it might feel a bit heavy if youâre not used to products like this.I appreciated that it didnât cause any breakouts, which is always a concern with richer products. It even seemed to help balance my skin when dryness was triggering more oil production. The scent is faint and citrusy, which I didnât mind since it fades quickly. I like to apply it down the neck and collarbone to help with making my skin glow. The packaging is compact and travel-friendly, but the amount you get feels a little small for the price. Thankfully, a little goes a long way, so it should last a while. Overall, it’s a good product, though I still prefer creamier tallow products for everyday use. Maybe it’ll grow on me over time, we’ll see!

I’m a pretty big fan of tallow creams especially for the current dry winter weather. I use it all over my face when I am especially dry, and other times I put on a normal moisturizer and then apply this on top of dry spots (e.g. healing pimples spots). If you are new to tallow face moisturizers, this may feel too heavy at first, but it should be something that you can get used to. I’m prone to hormonal acne and while this doesn’t heal them, it also doesn’t cause breakouts. If you have breakouts due to dry skin causing too much oil production then this should help. Additionally, this balm works just fine under makeup for me.This is a hard tallow balm and looked a bit crumbly in the container, but once I warmed it up with my hands it melted into an oil consistency that was easy to spread over my face. I have tried a tallow balm before which is liquidy oil in room temperature that I stopped using on my face because I suspected it had gone bad and caused me bad breakouts. I don’t believe this will be an issue with this product due to the hard waxy consistency. I have tried whipped tallow cream as well (from another brand), and that feels much lighter – like regular moisturizer, but it’s not as effective, so I prefer this balm consistency. This tallow balm leaves my face super soft when I apply it all over which the whipped one I tried could not achieve. This tallow balm smells a little citrusy but the smell doesn’t linger or bother me once it’s on my face, and I’m pretty sensitive to smells. Ingredients include: beef tallow, jojoba oil, beeswax, vitamin E, and sweet orange. It does have a bit of a neutral oil smell when I am applying it, but it’s not beefy or anything and goes away quickly. The bottle is quite small but a little goes a long way, and you can easily bring this with you on the go due to the small size. Since it’s not runny, it should also be fine to fly with this without needing to to put it in a liquids bag.The product came with a nice little individually handwritten note from the seller which I found to be a nice touch. The company is based in Canada and they claim they only source ingredients from Canada and the US. It’s always nice to support a local small business that creates good products.

I’ve used this lotion on my hands twice a day for about week and I totally love it. I have something eczema-related on my hands, which makes them very dry and prone to irritation. This lotion has actually been very soothing and has made my previously rough and dry hands pretty smooth and soft.I also tried it on my face a few times. I’d recommend putting it on your face in the evenings, as it it pretty thick, but you could just as well use it as a daytime moisturizer. The lotion (which I would identify more as a balm, because it’s really thick and not at all liquidy) does indeed absorb quite quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy finish. It’s really smooth and is just a beautiful product.I can detect a slight smell that is distinctive to tallow balms, but it’s not in any way unpleasant. It’s kind of mild and creamy smelling and not at all a meaty smell. The main scent is a really nice lavender. I can’t say what the difference is between natural lavenders, but I’ve come across some that smell really nice to me and others that are less so — this is one of the really nice ones. The smell isn’t overpowering, but it’s enough that it’s noticeable.I’m picky about what I put in and on my body, so I looked up the parent company of Ancestral Haven, which the ad identifies as Altaerra Inc. and it is registered in Toronto. The ad says the product is made in Canada and their website says the ingredients originate from Canada and the US, which is great and offers more assurance that what the label says is in the product is actually what is in the product. The attorney for the trademark is located in the US, which is a bit weird for a Canadian company.
