Good, pure coconut oil we use in cooking
In our case we use coconut oil when we make home-made granola. This is good quality, very pure, and works perfectly for our use. It’s handy to get this very large container for not much more than we have been paying for much smaller containers.

I actually use coconut oil for “oil pulling.” I have had issues with my gums in the past and this has helped to make them healthier, so I do it every morning when I awaken by putting a spoonful in my mouth. I allow it to melt (which it does quickly) and then swish it around my mouth for 15 minutes. I dispose of it in the trash as the oil will clog sinks and toilets. This brand is great and seemed to be great value as well! My only concern is that it is less dense than the previous brands I purchased. That wouldn’t matter, except that after getting into a portion of the top, I noticed a concavity below. I didn’t check to see if the weight was accurate, but there is less in this jar than the previous one I ordered. The previous jar (different brand, same size and weight) lasted 4 months.

We wanted to stop using the seed oils and wanted to try the coconut oil as alternative to cooking and baking. I use this to substitute for items in recipe that call for Crisco or shortening and we use it to fry things like French fried potatoes. My husband uses it when he makes them and they donât taste coconutty!It just has a nice clean taste. I also will use it to grease a pan for baking, etc.We really like it.
