Love the scent
This Bevel Dark Cassis Candle has a pleasant smell, and I love it. The scent is strong after lighting up, and the fragrance is spreading throughout the rooms. Although it’s pricey, it’s worth its value.

Great scent
I really enjoy the masculine, almost cologne like scent that this candle has. I’ve been using it for hours and based on how much it’s burned down I can definitely see this lasting for a full 60 hours. The packaging could use a little more cushion, as the warehouses treat packages like airline handlers, and with a box like this coming in a slightly puffy envelope, there’s a decent chance it will be broken. They would be better off putting the box inside of one of those bubble wraps shaped like a box. I got lucky and mine wasn’t broken, so I am quite happy. The only thing that cost a star for me is the price. I love candles and use them way too often to spend over $30 on one candle. But for someone who doesn’t use candles daily, this might be worth it for them.

The smell is like a very strong, very cheap car deodorant. Bevel used to be such a well respected, well-made brand. What happened to this company??

Smells great
This is a very handsome candle with a fantastic, warm scent. To me, it’s got more of a masculine vibe, but I think it would appeal to anyone who likes the earthy qualities of sandalwood and patchouli and especially amber — one of my favorite scent components. It’s not a large candle, but the scent projection is great; I could smell it though the box as seen as I opened the shipping bag. I’m planning on using it with a candle warmer, so I don’t know if I’ll actually be lighting it anytime soon, but if/when I do and there’s any kind of issue, I will return and edit this to reflect it. I don’t anticipate there being any problem with the wick, etc., though.The candle jar is a sleek matte black and understated in a classy way. I’m sure it’s subjective, but I’m not a fan of big labels on candles, and this one is pretty big. It may or may not rub you the wrong way. I might try to remove it, but I’m not sure how easy that will be.I don’t really have anything negative to say except, if I’m being really critical, the box it came in was kind of falling apart; possibly having come unglued at some point. It comes in a pretty thin cardboard box which is not exactly fancy or substantial, so if you’re looking to impress someone with packaging, it may not have the desired impact.

Great strong scent.
If you like strong scented candles this one definitely is for you. I love sandalwood and patchouli notes, so this earthy blend is like walking into some fae woodland saga where the essence of these scent elements is taking over my space. These woodsy notes are similar to men’s fragrance or essential oils in a diffuser so with that in mind you may want to be sure you like all three notes to this candle. I prefer highly rich scents, so it is perfect for me. The wax seems to be clean and burns well and the candle memory holds up so make sure the first burning is long enough to pool the wax to the edges. This candle would make a great gift as packaged and I will definitely check out for scents from this brand.

Earthy luxury candle from Bevel
This candle smells so nice and earthy, I love the scent. The candle is in a sleek black glass jar with a simple clean white label, which fits with any decor style. The price is a bit steep for a 9oz candle in my humble opinion, but the scent is very nice, itâs made of quality ingredients, and it really does have a long burn time. Iâve been using this candle for weeks on and off, for many hours, and it has only used less than a third of the wax so far. It burns very clean, no issues, so I am confident itâs well made with attention to detail. I recommend this candle for the scent and high quality.
