Scent is so personal so it is tough to review candles. The packaging was nice. It was strong enough but not overwhelming like some of the âmanlyâ scents can be.

Kinda mad about how good this candle is
I like nice scents and I like candles, so I tend to buy candles at a discount. The rare times I’ve splurged on a pricier candle, I haven’t been impressed enough to keep purchasing it vs a random candle I find at Marshalls. I decided to try out Boy Smells Hinoki Fantome because I heard good things about the scent. It is, unfortunately, better than any old random candle. It’s wonderful! The big thing for me is it fills our open concept living room/dining room when either burned or melted with a candle warmer. I mostly buy soy-based candles, and maybe it’s the coconut + soy wax mixture, but this candle throw its scent farther and more noticeably than the candles I typically buy. The scent itself is lightly sweet and earthy (and not cloyingly so). I wasn’t sure I liked the scent when I smelled the candle by itself, but when it disperses with burning or melting, it’s subtle and complex. I’ll be buying again and I’m mad about it.

Yummy smell – wick issues
Loved the smell. Frequent candle burner and I donât always have time for the long first burn. You must do it with this candle or it will tunnel and youâll have to dig out the wick.

Most amazing scent
Such a beautiful scent and u donât have to burn long to get the whole house smelling great. I do use a hurricane jar tho, with pebbles to make sure itâs safe and not likely to be near anything flammable

Very weak throw, tunnels a lot
You have to be within a few inches from this candle to sense anything. Tunnels a lot, burns out quickly. At the end (1/2 inches left) the candle stopped giving even a weak scent. Very disappointing. The scent is nice though.

Smells nice, very poor projection
It does smell quite good, however the scent doesn’t go far. You gotta have the candle right next to you to smell it, doesn’t really fill up even a small room. Probably wouldn’t recommend paying $50 for this unless you’re fine with only smelling it when you’re within a few feet of it.
