Always wanted to know exactly what carrier oils are?
What kind of oils, which are also called as base oils, are being used to dilute another type of oil that is called the essential oil?
Why it is important to mix carrier oils with essential oils? And if done wrong the affects it could have on one’s health!
Did you know carrier oils also require a specific method of growing since they have to be as pure as possible?
You have to make sure that the carrier oils you use are organically grown – not artificially grown wherein chemicals have already been applied – and cold pressed.
Because carrier oils are being mixed with essential oils for aromatherapy (which, of course, involves the human skin), they are going to be absorbed by the human body. Therefore it is important that the oils you use are organic and pure, so there will not be any unwanted substances that will be absorbed by the skin along with these oils.

Easy secrets to a healthier skin and you
I had never heard of carrier oils, which is probably why I downloaded this book. I am a no-nonsense kinda gal when it comes to my beauty regimen. I don’t buy expensive lotions, creams or wrinkle diminishers. I prefer the look of natural. I am 45, no wrinkles and my skin is as smooth as it was thirty years ago. I contribute that to being natural and not using abrasive cleaners and scrubs. When I first opened this book I wasn’t sure what to expect but in reality ‘carrier oils’ are basically base oils. The author explains all this so simply and without too much thought, I have been doing everything correct. For example, Oilve Oil – I have it in my kitchen all the time but who knew to digest a spoonful of it every day for good digestive health. And when you have good digestion it is displayed in your complexion and in your attitude. And let’s face it.. when you have good digestion it gives you a whole new positive outlook.Great read Lindsey! Informative and quick to read.

Helpful for beginners
This is exactly what the title suggests: an excellent review of some of the most easily available carrier oils for beginners. I use quite a few different kinds and the information in this book was not new. The author covers the following:Grape Seed oilOlive oilSweet Almond oilAvocado oilPeanut oilPecan oilSesame Seed oilSunflower oilHazelnut oilWatermelon Seed oilI had hoped the author would also address some of the more exotic ones like tamanu, kukui, red raspberry seed, borage seed, sea buckthorn berry oils. However, what information is contained is done so in a very helpful manner.

A Great Beginners Book
A great book for beginners. I thought this book was very informative and liked that she explained about alternatives to using carrier oils as well. The book wasn’t very long but it did give some very good information all the same. She explained how carrier oils are extracted and explained about refined and unrefined.Below are the carrier oils that the author lists:Grape Seed oilSweet Almond oilOlive oilAvocado oilPeanut oilPecan oilSesame Seed oilHazelnut oilSunflower oilWatermelon Seed oilJojoba OilEmu OilCastor OilCoconut OilThe author gives very in depth information about each of the carrier oils above. She also talks about mixing essential oils with carrier oils for aromatherapy and how to know how to dilute your oils and how much to get the percentage of dilution that you need. Overall I was really happy with this book and all of the information provided. I actually learned quite a bit from this book and will refer back to it when needed.

Brief but Informative – Learnt a few new Things! 🙂
I really liked this book. It is brief & to the point. Sadly the grammar is bad & I would have liked information on other mainstream carrier oils such as Calendula, St Johns’ Wort, Apricot Kernel, Jojoba & Hemp. Nevertheless, I learnt quite a few new things & of course am grateful for the price! Thanks very much. 🙂

My first time using this but well worth it!
I never knew what carriers oils were until reading this book. My wife has been interested in home made health and beauty products and it is very important to know what you’re doing before applying anything to your skin as you could have a reaction…we had a close call before reading this and glad we found it shortly after. Concentrated oils can damage your skin. This book helped hit that home in a way that educated me enough to be able to create a grape seed oil for acne that so far is gentle on the skin. I would recommend always doing a test on a small portion of your skin that isn’t visible to everyone just to be sure you don’t have a reaction, especially when creating products at home but recommend this book before you even try. Thanks Lindsey!

Wrong Content
I just bought the Kindle book and instead of carrier oils, it talks about the benefits of apple cider vinegar. Hopefully this is corrected before too many people purchase it. Please let me know when it’s corrected because I really looked forward to reading this.

they are a great quick reference of the carrier oils
they are a great quick reference of the carrier oils, it only talks about roughly 10 carrier oils, but as a quick reference book, i believe it is sufficent. however, I think the 15 dollars might be a bit over price due to its physical booklet quality. I would recommend just get the kindle version if you just want to learn some basic things.

This is more like a little guide, than a book. Very thin, but some good info.
Book is very thin, but has come good , exact guidelines in breaking down each Carrier Oil, their usesand storage methods. It should be listed though as a quick reference guide vs a book. But infois good.
