The Terra Cotta clay Made by JBK Pottery is very porous and will absorb oils and diffuse slowly over the next couple of days. Depending on several factors such as humidity, heat, and size of space the scent can last between 1-4 days. Ideally 5-6 drops will give you best results. The first use may need a few extra drops of essential oil. On subsequent uses, you can decrease drops of essential oils or add oils less frequently. Great Ideas: Our Customers have used the JBK Pottery Ceramic Scents in there closet to eliminate unwanted odors and infuse a pleasant smell. Try placing the Ceramic Scent terra-cotta tile in tea bags with essential oils. How to Use: Simply place the Ceramic Scents Tile on a small plate or bowl and add a few drops of your favorite Scented or Essential Oil. How long will the aroma last? The aroma can last up to 4 days, but will depend on the type of oil used, temperature, humidity, your sense of smell, and size of the environment. You can always use more than 1 diffuser in an environment. Most of our customers will add essential oil to the diffuser daily as needed. How much Essential Oil should be added? This depends on several factors, however, we suggest starting with 6-10 drops and then add more if needed (you can always add more, but you can’t take any away so it’s best to start light). Each Essential oil can differ in strength of smell and your enjoyment of the scent. A rule of thumb is just that, use to your own enjoyment and pleasure.
