Great candle but “smokeless” isn’t true
I’m a huge fan of this scent from a couple other brands and it’s no different with Dowan! The scent fills my master bedroom pretty quickly and lingers for quite some time even after putting the candle out. The circular wooden wick is unique and produces a sharp cone shaped flame that looks different from any of my other candles. One problem though, it does produce smoke. Enough smoke to trigger my smoke detector if burning the candle within a 5-6 foot radius from where the detector is located. I noticed it doesn’t go off if I burn the candle on the opposite side of the room so I can still burn it in my bedroom… just not anywhere close to the fire alarm which is unfortunately where I typically sit while hanging out in my room unless I’m sleeping.Overall, it’s still 5 stars even with the smoke issue which I consider minor. The smoke doesn’t trigger any of the alarms when burning the candle in the living room and I still have the option in my master bedroom as mentioned above if placed in the correct spot. The smoke also doesn’t create a haze in the room as some of the others have mentioned. Perhaps it might in a smaller room. I do plan on trying out a couple more of the available scents from Dowan, specifically Fireside and Lavender Woods. I’ll update my review after trying those 2.

Smokes a lot and strong manly smell
I use wood wicks regularly because they do not smoke much. This one i suppose because of the circular wick smokes constantly. The smell is like a menâs deodorant, it smells good but not as described and i would not buy it again.

Pretty candle and cover. The scent was not overpowering. My main problem was the flame which got too high and there was def smoke from the candle as it made our fire alarm go off! It made me feel uneasy having it lit; and having to watch a candle every second didn’t make me feel at peace.EDIT: the seller listened to my feedback and I appreciated their efforts

I was really excited to try these candles but was left feeling a little underwhelmed. I was hoping for some really gorgeous fragrances and tried one of each. The only one that I genuinely like is the one with sage. They donât smell bad but they donât have the rich, luxurious or high quality smell that I was hoping for. The presentation is very lovely and I didnât have too much trouble with the wooden wick, although it does burned higher than other candles. If you enjoy candles that are modestly fragranced and not overwhelming, you might like these. They were less expensive than others that were similar.

I love this candle! It’s definitely high end. The scent fills the room and lasts for hours. The packaging is very protective and these will make a great gift. I use the candle in a candle warmer rather than lighting the wick.
