A Funny Girl –
A Must Have Guide for Essential Oils!!!
With the HUGE rise in popularity of essential oils this is a awesome guide to have on hand for the beginner or maybe even a more experienced oil user. There are so many wonderful uses of essential oils, I’m definitely a novice and so it’s great to have a guide to use in discovering all the different ways to use particular oils I have on hand. This book gives you some great background information on essential oils as well as the processes used to make them.It is great for learning the basics as well as learning how to properly use them safely. One of the things I like most about this book though, is that it breaks down into different conditions and so if you are loooking for you can look at the Table of Contents for that particular ailment and go straight to the page where it will then give you different oils and the recipes for creating At Home treatments! It also has a section that you can use to create wellness and Beauty products. From making your own deodorant, facial cleanser to making lip gloss, toner, nail growth oil this guide gives you a handy little guide for making your own products right in your own home!! It also has two chapters on making different scented products like candles, potpourri and sachets as well as a chapter to make your own at home cleaning products. From making your own air freshner, floor cleaner, furniture polish to making your own window cleaner there are a ton of home cleaning products you can make with your own two hands with a few oils and the help of this handy recipe guide. There’s also a section that breaks the different oils down so that you can see the uses for each oil! It also gives you the oil combinations that work best together. This is truly a sensational book that every person who is interseted in using essential oils should have! You can find a lot of information on the internet, but it’s nice ot have all that information in one consolidated area where you can search by ailment, or by oil whenever you need it! I definitely recommend this to any newcomer to the oil world!!* I received this for review purposes.

Informative and “essential” to anyone interested in essential oils and aromatherapy
Now this is something I have really wanted to get for awhile now! I have dabbled with making my own oils and scrubs and lotions in the past, but have not done much recently. All the books I once had are long gone due to moves and time, so I definitely needed a really good informative book!Instead of just compiling a list of recipes, it gives you recipes and MUCH more. It explains in detail what essential oils are and teaches you how to use them in aromatherapy and in topical applications for more than 100 ailments. The recipes included are: massage oils and cosmetics as well as sachets, scented bath products , candles, and nontoxic household cleaners. It also lists the 25 most common essential oils along with the conditions each oil treats. The book even includes historical information about essential oils , along with all the known benefits of them. Also notably helpful and interesting is the passage about smart shopping. As some of us know, there are many “Sub-par” brands out there, which sell essential oils that are not pure and are not high quality. This book gives helps you stay informed, and understand how to differentiate between the good and the bad out there. From the book:”What is a high-quality essential oil, and how do you know that you’re buying one?”As stated in this chapter, you want a “pure” essential oil, however, “It’s also possible to buy essential oils that are pure but of low quality, either because they were handled or stored improperly or because they came from inferior plants.”So the question is, how do we as consumers figure out what is the real thing, and what isn’t?I will show you one more excerpt from the book, but the rest you will have to read yourself to find out more!”To get an idea of whether an oil is truly pure, look on the label for the oil’s botanical name, country of origin, and method of extraction. If this information is not in evidence, the oil is probably adulterated.”This is great information that I was unaware of until now.I am a big fan of this book, and will be spending a lot of time whipping up recipes from within it!*This book was provided in exchange for my unbiased review*

A great book for beginners!
An Introductory Guide to Essential Oils and Aromatherapy is a very informative book that teaches us, not only the basics of Aromatherapy, but also includes a wide range of aromatherapy recipes. It really does teach the very basics. It explains what carrier oils are for, listing the benefits of each type so that you can make knowledgeable selections for the carriers that will be beneficial to you. They also teach the differences between essential and pure oils, so that you know whether or not youâre ordering quality products. We also learn about proper storage in order to get the most out of our oils. The recipes cover a wide range of uses, from massage oils to cosmetics. Thereâs even a section explaining the history of the oils and how they are made.I suffer from Insomnia and Fibromyalgia, so this book will definitely come in handy. Considering the fact that before reading this book, I knew nothing about Aromatherapy and had no idea where to start. Now know enough to begin making my own sleeping aids. This was a well written book that any beginner will easy glean vast knowledge from.I received a free copy in exchange for my honest review.

This is an excellent reference! It is well laid out and has lots of recipes! Create your own bath bombs, cough remedy, deodorant, household cleaner or combine oils to be diffused. The safety warnings for each oil have been highlighted, following a description of the oil, so that a quick reference is easily made.
