The gsm of the paper is very thin so sharpies and markers will bleed, however if you need a sketchbook for loose note taking or sketches these are perfect and minimalist. Even gel pens might bleed so I’d recommend sticking to just pencils and basic ink pens.

I bought this 8 pack of kraft covered blank journals to use in a refillable leather journal. They are well made for the price I paid. I used a fine tip permanent marker to test the pages. It did not bleed through but there was a slight ghosting on the back of the test page. Not a big deal. I would definitely recommend them. I love that the corners are rounded, by far, my first pick for refills.
