Perfect Pocket Sized Notebook
This is a perfect pocket sized notebook! The pink color is beautiful and I love the textured the cover. The elastic is strong and snug, the pages feel high quality and are thick enough that there is no bleed through even with felt and gel pens. The size is perfect for a pocket notebook or to live in my purse. Great value for the money. This is my new go to on the go notebook.

Good product and good value
I just received my Anecdote A5 journal notebook and I am very excited to start using it. My first impression is that it’s sturdy, well made, and the perfect color. It may be made in China but it appears to be a Las Angeles based company who designed it and sells it, so at least there is some domestic benefit.This is obviously meant to compete with Moleskine notebooks. And I would say that the value of this book far outweighs the other brand. This notebook was about 20% cheaper than it’s brand-name counterpart and seems to be just as good. I especially like the fabric feel of the outer cover, and I think the hard cover is thicker than the other brand.The pocket is a nice addition. I would point out that the side of the pocket is made of paper, whereas the other brand uses fabric. I’m not sure there is any benefit to one or the other, so the pocket on the Anecdote will work just fine for business cards or small notes I think.The paper is thick so bleed thoughs should not be an issue. However, I have not yet written in it. I’m still finishing my last journal.All in all a good purchase. It was more expensive than some on Amazon but cheaper than Moleskine, so I think this will be a 5-star product with a 4-star price.+++UPDATE: MARCH 2021+++I’ve been writing in this book for three months and I felt I should add my opinion about the paper. First of all, I put a lot of pressure on my pen when I write and I use a G2 most of the time, which is a gel-ink style pen that tends to bleed through most paper I write on. With the thickness of this paper, I can write on both sides of the paper and there is no evidence of writing on the other side. This is definitely my new favorite journal book!**This review is my personal opinion and I do not accept free products or discounts for writing or editing my reviews.**

Beautiful Journal!
I instantly loved this journal as soon as i opened it! The covers are extremely sturdy and well made, and I cannot get enough of the baby blue color! The paper inside is also thick and smooth, which allowed me to write in it without bleeding through! the ribbon bookmark also added a really pretty touch to it and I would definitely buy it again!

I’m a stationary snob and this is by far my favorite journal! The pages are thick so I can write in my sharpie s-gel on both sides without any bleed through. The pages are smooth so the ink glides on. The book binding allows it to lie flat when you’re writing in it. It is hard cover so you always have a firm surface to write on. The band allows you to keep it closed and protected for travel. Perfect!

Oh I love this journal. Pages are smooth. What I also like is it pretty much matches a known brand but the price is so much better. I also got their deskpad which is beautiful and love that it’s a vegan letter.

I am an avid writer because I write everything down, like everything. With that being said, I am very particular about my journals and notebooks (Iâve tried so many). I really love this brand, although a little pricier than other brands, because of the quality. I like the cream colored pages, and the quality of them it holds all my writing. I donât notice any way bleed through. This is very functional, a great size to take with me anywhere. I can just throw it in my purse or my book bag. It is also very durable.
