Warms Towels (and Clothing, Too)!
I have only used this twice so far, but plan to use it every day! I ordered the 4-Bar Towel Heater in the “Round-brushed Stainless Steel” and this thing is terrific! It arrived inside a nice, protective, cloth bag, which was inside a protective outer box. The unit is constructed from extremely durable stainless steel and looks very nice, too.Installation took about 1-1/2 to 2 hours. You will need a pencil, screwdriver, hammer, level, tape measure, and a cordless or electric drill. All other hardware is provided. One thing I recommend is that you watch the video on the product page, which provides some helpful tips for installing this on your wall. Also, you will need to have an outlet nearby. It does have a 5.2’ white cord, but you don’t want to use an extension cord with this, so make sure you have an outlet nearby. TIP: Use those “magic erasers” to remove any pencil marks from the wall after drilling the mounting holes.Once the heated towel warmer is installed and plugged into a nearby outlet, the operation is super simple! The top button powers the heater on or off. The middle button adjusts the heating time from 1 hour to 8 hours, in 1-hour increments. The lower button adjusts the heating temperature from 100° F to 160° F in 10° F increments.I like to use thick, Turkish bath sheet-style towels, which are quite a bit larger and thicker than most standard towels. If you use these type of towels, too, I would honestly recommend ordering the 6-bar “square” heated towel rack. The reason is that the 4-bar vs. 6-bar is much shorter and, therefore, doesn’t heat up the longer towels as well. Also, I would suspect that the square bars vs. round bars have slightly more surface area and, therefore, would also heat up the towel better.On my first attempt at using this heated towel bar, I turned it on (highest setting) right before I entered the shower. My showers last about 7 to 10 minutes, typically. I was looking forward to having a nice, toasty warm towel when I finished showring. Honestly, it was only slightly warm, and I was a little disappointed. I tried again the next day, only this time, I turned it on about 45 minutes before entering the shower, again on the highest setting, and it was much warmer. However, like I stated earlier, using these longer, thicker towels on a 4-bar towel rack leaves a lot of area not heated up on the towels. Still nice but wishing I had gotten the 6-bar square towel warmer instead.Another thing I tried was laying my clothing on this towel warmer . . . Ahhhh . . . very nice, indeed! Especially socks and underwear! So that’s just another idea on how you can use this towel warmer.Overall, this seems to be a well-made, relatively easy-to-install, towel warmer at a decent price ($139.99 – Mar. 2025), although you might want to splurge for the 6-bar square style.
