Glad I spent the extra for the mounting plate
Itâs more than just a mountain plate. It has a receiver for the towel Rack, couldnât have done it any other way. However, wasnât the easiest thing to install.

Wall Plate Comes with a Protective Coating but no Explanation
When this âbrushedâ wall plate arrived, it was a grungy, scratched white color. I assumed there had been a mistake, returning it to Amazon and ordering a replacement directly from Heatgene. The replacement arrived promptly, but when I opened it I was very surprised that it looked the same; grungy white and scratched. After puzzling over this coincidence, I finally realized that the white color was a protective coating covering the metal. Thereâs no obvious way to peel off the coating, so you have to work on it. But what finally emerges is a gleaming, brushed wall plate! A written explanation would have helped greatly, and prevented an unnecessary return.

Did not fit my towel warmer
Although this appeared high quality, these are not universal. I presume it will only fit this brand towel warmer. I had to fabricate my own using a blank wall plate.

Where are the screws?
First, I was shocked that the plate doesnât come with matching-colored screws.Then I was surprised that it didnât fit onto the heated towel rack that Amazon said worked with it.After all that, I wasnât exactly stunned when the companyâs customer service line just told me to leave a message, then didnât call back.

Needed for Hard Wired Installation
This plate is needed for the hard wired installation. The information on the towel rack is not very clear about this and does not mention that it isnât included in the purchase of the rack. This should be included in every towel rack purchase. If you donât realize that you need it and have to order at a later date, it could significantly impact your installation.
