New lease on life!
I bought this for my 14 yr old Pit mix. He was starting to have a lot of trouble getting around and the anti-inflammatory from the Vet bothered his stomach. This stuff is amazing! It has given my boy a new lease on life and he has been actually RUNNING with our younger dogs and playing again. He also loves the taste and looks forward to his âtreatâ every day. Iâve started giving it to our other dogs because they are all large breeds and Iâm hoping it prevents them from ever going through the pain our old guy did. This product is the real deal and worth every penny!

Smells awful but seems to work
Good overall, but the SMELL. It literally smells like poo, and that of course makes the dog’s breath smell that way. Does seem to work from a calming perspective (but I also have an older dog – she’s 10 – so she’s relatively chill most of the time). Lasted a long time, so good value. My dog ate them at first, but she started to turn her nose up, so I just add it into her dinner.

High Strength
Very soft, chewable for dogs with no teeth. I have a 16 yr. old, 4 lb. baby who has become quite feeble due to hip and back legs problems. I have no idea if this item actually helps, but it has higher amounts of the important ingredients than most of the joint supplements and also has the hemp oil which is supposed to be better than hemp seed oil for inflammation….again, I don’t know if it works, but I don’t know if any of the vitamins, etc., that I take actually help anything or not!! But I’d rather give them to my babies in case than do help than take a chance on not giving them.

Not a good fit for our Senior pup
I like a lot about these. High amount of glucosamine in a single serving and theyâre easy to break up (our old girl canât chew much anymore). Unfortunately they made her nauseous and she was constantly throwing up. I didnât put two and two together for a long time but when I quit giving her these she stopped getting sickâ¦so. Just not a good fit for us. Iâm also disappointed because when I tried to return my second delivery (since we canât use it anymore) they wouldnât offer a return.

This review is for the Hemp Calming Chews for Dogs.The Good: The flavor, apparently. My dogs love them.The bad: The smell is a little off-putting to me, but my dogs enjoy it apparently.The Ugly: The prices for these chews are pretty high, considering for my dogs (@50lbs~) require 3 chews EACH. That’s 6 chews per day minimum (I usually will give them a morning treat after exercise and command training, to give them a more calming rest for morning – lunchtime. Occasionally I give them a dose just before bed.)The Long Review: Overall, I’ve noticed that they do help keep the dogs calmer than without, but with a pair of hyper-doodle mixes, that can mean going from a 10 down to a 7. Don’t expect miracles if you have high-energy dogs like I do.However, my biggest frustration is the dosage. For a 50lb dog, the dose is 3 chews. That’s 6 chews per dose for my two pups, which means there’s about 28 doses in the container for my two pups, or 56 doses per pup.So, for 1 dog, a container will give you roughly a month’s supply, maybe a little more. If you have a tiny dog, good news! One container will give you around a 3 month supply.Sadly, mine aren’t tiny, so they don’t last as long.I have noticed that it does help keep the dogs calmer, but for anyone with high-energy dogs like mine, what I recommend is to give them a really good workout – fetch is one of the best to do – and *then* give them their calming treats, and send them to bed for rest time.This routine seems to get them into a calm, sleepy state rather quickly, and allows them to be more restful, especially overnight (our pups still sometimes wake us up in the middle of the night for a potty break, but not nearly as often if they’ve had a hemp treat).Overall, this isn’t a bad product, and the price is comparable to similar offerings at local shops. Just don’t expect miracles.
