Been wearing this for years.
When my uncle died in the mid 80s, I inherited some of his personal items including a bottle of his cologne. The truth is, Iâve been wearing Jovan Sex Appeal ever since. (Itâs 2022 as of this writing.) This French cologne has a strong, masculine scent that all the ladies seem to love and even a few gay men I have encountered in my travels. Itâs good stuff. Not too expensive either though itâs getting increasingly hard to find.

Smells like Flintstones Vitamin at first – then great…
The opening smells like an orange Fintstone Vitamin. Horrible. After the bad ‘citrus’ of the opening, it dries down into a scent strongly reminiscent of spicy shaving cream. Very nice and classic, inoffensive, manly fragrance.

Smell Like a Safe and Classy Bathroom!
So a long time ago, my grandmother bought me a bottle of Jovan Musk Sex Appeal for Christmas. I thought it was a ridiculous gift but enjoyed the scent. That Sex Appeal ran out and so, here recently, I decided to get me a whole NEW bottle of Sex Appeal but I ALSO decided that it should be a SPRAY bottle. Yes, convenient. Anyhoo, I put some on and soon after, my girlfriend asked “is that a new smell? Honestly, you smell like that potpourri that they keep in fancy restaurant bathrooms.” I stared at her. “No, it’s nice,” she added, “it’s spicy, it just reminds me of a really classy bathroom. And you know, there’s nothing sexier in this day and age than having a clean, safe place to go to the bathroom.” So there you go, kids. Be sexy. Be as sexy as a safe, clean, fancy bathroom when you wear Jovan SEX APPEAL. I type it in all caps for emphasis. SEX APPEAL. Uh huh.

They have done an OK job at trying to re-create the original, but failed. I have been wearing this cologne since high school in 1978. On the left in the picture I posted you will see a bottle that I got at our local drugstore about 10 years ago⦠I bought all they had at the time just in case, and have been nursing it along. Since I could no longer get it, Iâve had hoped that the version I found here on Amazon would do the ticket.When the new one came, I did a wrist to wrist blind comparison, having my wife smell the scent on either wrist. I didnât even tell her what it was she was looking for. Her response was oh thatâs your cologne.( on the wrist where I had applied the original.) Her comment on the new version was âThatâs OK. What is it?âWhen I told her that it was supposed to be Sex Appeal. She said, âItâs nowhere near the same.â And I agree. Even as I sit typing this, the pungent patchouly scent from the original wrist is easily noticeable, while the new stuff on the other wrist has already faded into barely being able to smell it.

Es una fragancia que solamente en imitación habÃa conseguido. Al encontrarla en Amazon, no dudé en comprarla, ya que desde hace mucho tiempo la conocà y la usé, además el precio es muy accesible. No es lujosa, sin embargo, es muy agradable al olerla, me siento bien con ella. Ojalá pudieran poner a la venta otros aromas de Jovan como Grass oil, Monsieur o Ginseng
