Our Company History

In 1928, at the age of twenty-two, Peter Beilenson began printing books on a small press in the basement of his parents’ home in Larchmont, New York. Peter — and later, his wife, Edna — sought to create fine books that sold at prices even a pauper could afford.

Today, still family owned and operated, Peter Pauper Press continues to honor our founders’ legacy — and our customers’ expectations — of beauty, quality, and value.

    Perfect for rising kindergarter!
Bought this for a 2.5 week vacation in Europe and LOVED it! In addition to brief journaling each day there were fun activities to engage my little in during long car rides that will also help him remember special times on our trip. The games weren’t something I thought we’d use but they were great for occupying our drive long time! There’s even a pocket in the back to hold mementos (we mostly used it to store postcards). I also love that it had space for pre-trip planning plus post-trip activities, which helped solidify our memories. Definitely recommend this for young travelers! I think it would work well for age 4-7 with grownup help and ages 8-13 who can read and write on their own.

Hard Cover, sturdy & perfect size
I got two of these travel journals for my grand kids ( in elementary school). They loved this journal. It has pages of lists of things to pack, games, & places you want to see. Pages to document where you went, what you did, what you liked. They used it for their entire trip to Hawaii and loved it. It will help them to remember special things from their trip. And for planning a trip too.

    Great journals for kids
We recently traveled during the school year and my kids teachers wanted them to make a travel journal since they’d be missing some school. This journal had a nice way of showing things getting ready for the trip as well as a daily itinerary that we added in.

    Great kids journal
We bought this for our 10 and 11 year old grandkids when we took a one week trip. They both have different writing skills. One summarized in 2 sentences, while the other wrote long paragraphs! This journal kept them both engaged and they enjoyed writing in it daily. I also gave one to our 6 yr old grandson. I would recommend for older aged children between 8-12 yrs old.

    Same prompts on every page
Since this is nothing more than a notebook with the same prompts on each page, you might as well buy a cheap blank notebook and write the prompts in yourself!

    Great travel journal for kids
Both my 10 & 8 year old loved the book. We took it on a recent 12-day vacation to Hawaii and the kids had fun recording their adventures in it. I wanted to limit the amount of time they spend on electronic devices and this journal was the perfect replacement. They spent quite a bit of time on the plane ride filling in the first few pages about our destination and then we arrived, they recorded their daily adventures and rated the days. There are several activity pages in the back of the book and they had fun doing those when they weren’t writing notes. I would definitely get 2 copies of this book again for our next vacation. This book is intended to use for one vacation/trip and not multiple ones.

We bought 2, one for an 8-year-old and the other for a 12-year-old. They both enjoyed using them on vacation, but I have to say the 12-year-old was more engaged with his.

I bought this for my 7 year old to encourage him to write about his holidays whilst away. The book is excellent and jammed packed full of things to complete. I recommend starting it early as there are pages on where you are going, useful contacts, who is going with you, what you would like to see and do, an itinerary. There is a packing checklist which enables you to add some extra things. Space to write about when you are going, how you are getting there, where you stayed, who you met and a daily journal for 2 weeks. Interesting food you ate, shopping and even some travel games and free writing. We went away for 3 weeks and did a little of it when we got back and missed some days. It worked really well and it was a great journal to complete. I would recommend it for any child between 7 and 10. There is even a pocket at the back to store postcards and tickets.

I bought 2 of this. One was fine, and the other was used!! It was a present. When my nephew went to write in it found a few pages with writing and scribbles like shown in the photo. He was so disappointed.

Surprisingly perfect for a 10-14 day trip. I had to nag my 7 year old to fill it up everyday, but I’m sure he’ll come to appreciate it and make it a habit in future trips.
