This style of flameless candle is capable of being operated by a remote (sold separately). It is turned on and off by a switch on the bottom, which also activates the timer.
Luminara Flameless LED Moving Flame Pillar Candles are made with 100% pure paraffin wax, hand poured and carefully designed to look like traditional candles. They are safer to use than traditional candles, since no actual combustion or wax consumption happens. That means no soot or chemicals are released into the air, making them perfect for use indoors. They’re perfect for households with small curious children and rambunctious pets.
The light is a warm white color encased in a yellow flame designed to be as realistic as possible. It automatically flickers when you turn the candle on, increasing the realism. Available in 4.5″ and 6.5″ Heights with Ivory and White Color. Perfect for year-round use, they will go with just about any décor style.
Each candle takes 2 AA Batteries (purchase separately). When using the timer function, the candle will light up for 5 hours, and then automatically shut off for 19 hours. Candles can provide up to 200 hours of runtime before needing to replace the batteries. With proper care, these flameless candles will provide years of lovely, safe illumination.

Wonderful Flameless Candle!
This is my second Luminara Flameless Candle. There are cheaper Flameless candles out there but these candles are so much nicer. They have a flame that flickers and the finish of the candle base is very smooth and nice looking. You cand set it using the Timer feature or you can choose to turn it on and off yourself. The ivory color is very nice. These candles last for years ( this is my second).The seller packed the item very well and shipped it quickly.

Nice candle. Simple but lights pretty, feature is nice on the bottom of candle-just flick to timer- stays on 5, auto off for 19. It The remote you have to purchase separately. Bit pricey for what you get but seems reliable

Love the safety and ease of it being automatic
Had gotten one as a gift and have really enjoyed it coming on and turning off by itself. My friend even had to touch the âflameâ because itâs very realistic. I like that itâs also in real wax and that it looks like itâs melted around the top like a real candle. I ordered two other sizes and have one in the guest room and one in the hall bath for guests. I just like the look of candles but always worried about having fire in a room that Iâm not in at the time.

My wife ordered this item. She thinks itâs âcuteâ, which means; she had to have it. I think itâs a clever way to create an illusion of a real lighted candle. I admit that it does look real – from about 15 – 20 feet. The best plus feature about it: Itâs not a real flame and therefore is safe. ð.

Really enjoy the ‘flameless candles’ – they come on at dusk and go off around bedtime – makes a warm and welcoming atmosphere . . . (gave a number of them for Christmas gifts!)

Realistic candle
This is a beautiful candle. It has the ‘moving flame’ feature. Looking at other candles that listed a ‘flickering flame’ just had a flame shaped light bulb that flickered. This is so realistic that I found myself being careful around it and warning others not to get too close to the ‘flame’ :). The candle is real wax, which of course makes it even more realistic. Costs a little more than others, but well worth it.

I was familiar with these before I purchased them. Besides, the realistic flame, this candle uses 2x batteries which last.Of course, the only downside is the price. A little competition should bring the price down.
