Packaged well. Came in its own box with plenty of bubble wrap. Smell is strong enough to fill a bathroom/laundry room but only vaguely noticeable from 5 feet outside of the room that itâs in (scents may vary). Doesnât smell like the black coffee that I had hoped for but rather a very sugary cookie that someone threw coffee on (possibly just my bad sense of smell). I canât attest to how long it will last exactly. However, it seems comparable to most âbig brandâ candle companies. Overall I still give it 5 stars because itâs better than anything I could make and definitely better than a bathroom after Taco Tuesday.

I can actually smell it
Post-Covid my sense of smell just isnât the same, but I find vanilla and sweet smelling candles still work for me! This candle looks cute in my home and the smell is strong enough to fill up my kitchen and living room of my apartment. The scent is consistent with what I expected, it is a traditional sugar cookie fragrance and smells like they just came out of the oven. I get sticker shock from how much candles cost these days but in my opinion this was worth the money because the candle is so big, smells good, and is strong enough to fill my space with the scent.

These are great fragrance candles. They smell great and last a long time. I ordered a 26 oz. Candle that had the lid stuck on. The seller promptly sent a replacement. I’ll be ordering more as the seasonal mood dictates.

Makes the House Smell “Amazing”
The candle came well packaged. The candle was wrapped in bubble wrap (larger bubbles) and then placed in a sturdy box. The glass is thick, the cap is well proportioned to the glass container. Everything about the appearance and the shipment of the candle appears to be well thought out and of high quality.I have never had anyone come into my house and say my house smells “amazing” unless I just took cookies or a pie out of the oven. Needless, to say, we have dogs. Yet, in the first week of lighting this candle, two people remarked that my house smells “amazing.” And both times, the candle had been lit earlier in the day but was not actually lit when the person was in my house. I am very happy with this purchase and will buy more scents in the future!

Original Review based on my first candle, not purchased on Amazon:This scent is absolutely sent down straight from heaven. I can’t get enough of it. Even my husband that doesn’t like vanilla fragrances likes the sweet nature of it. If I had to describe it, I’d say it smells like a sugar cookie, but not quite that simple. It’s a vanilla sugar kind of scent that’s heavenly. I will have this in my home as long as it’s made.Updated Review based on specific Amazon purchase:No change in my opinion of this candle. The one I purchased here on Amazon is their larger one, and the scent is JUST as heavenly as the small one. Exact same scent that has me hooked. I’ve had this large one now for a few days and I’m burning it almost constantly (while I’m home and awake). I seriously can’t get enough. It has a delicious sweet smell that reminds you of sugar cookies, or maybe even cotton candy. I’m not sure what specific scent hooks me so much, but I can’t get enough. The throw from this is incredible, and if it smells this amazing, I can only imagine how other Milkhouse Candles smell. I’m in love with this brand (it’s out of Iowa), and the quality of these candles. Think of any popular candle brand, and these have impressed me beyond those. The scent is incredible, the throw is fantastic, and the way it burns down so evenly is perfect. I will surely purchase many, many more of these.

Smells Good but NOT Like Plain Coffee
Okay, so I’ve been searching high and low for a candle that smells like coffee. Just a cup of black coffee, dark roast, no cream. Imagine my excitement when I read through the reviews for this “Cup O’ Joe” candle! So many people claims it smells just like brewing coffee in the morning.I really am sad to say that this candle does NOT smell like coffee. I mean, it smells like something that has coffee in it. Like, a vanilla latte or something of that nature. Unfortunately, that’s not what I was looking for. So personally, I’m disappointed. That’s why I gave it 3 stars because even though the scent is long-lasting and is reminiscent of a coffee house, I feel the description is misleading. It’s way too sweet for me. However with that being said, if you like a sweeter latte smell then this candle is for you!–It burns down evenly which I think is a bonus. I hate it when candles burn all funky and chunky and the wick gets drowned 2 seconds after lighting it.–The scent IS reminiscent of coffee. Just not plain coffee. And I know what that smells like because I managed a coffee house for 6 years.–It’s long-lasting. Although it’s not what I wanted, I still burn it because it’s a quality candle and the scent is not so artificial like other candles out there. Those give me headaches.–It’s an excellent size for the price. Most nicely scented candles will cost you your first born child for a tiny little jar. This is big, nice and big.So, to recap–doesn’t smell like a cup of black coffee, but it does smell like a sweet latte. Burns evenly, lasts long, not too artificial, quality product, nice and big.
