Great Towel Rail
Great towel rail. I wanted a double one so that I could air two towels at one time. It was easy to install and looks beautiful but I wouldn’t say it is the sturdiest towel rail I have had (but that may be as I’ve only ever used single ones in the past). I do love this brand (Moen) for its metal finishes as they always look expensive and very chic. Their brushed nickel in particular is gorgeous. Overall a good product and would recommend it!

UPDATE: I just spoke with Moen Customer Service, and they are sending a new towel bar to replace the broken one. As long as the towel bar is functional, it is indeed a perfect one. So I have edited my 3-star rating to a 5-star to reflect my opinion of the product (in a wholesome shape) and Moen’s customer service. It is nice to deal with a company that stands behind its product fully. Kudos to Moen – you have earned my trust!It is an excellent towel bar! It is very practical and looks great. Alas, it is not very durable 🙁 We bought ours in September 2018, and it broke in March 2019. Six months is way too short of a lifetime, imho. I will try to contact Moen about their “lifetime warranty,” but I am not setting my hopes too high. I need a double rod – but now I am reluctant to buy Moen again…

Sturdy. Attractive and easy to install.
This product was very easy to install. Moen has an installation video if you google it. The instructions come with a template. Just tape the instructions to the wall and use a level to ensure the guideline on the instruction paper is level. You will need a drill to install the anchors. This is where the online video comes in handy. The anchors were unlike any Iâve personally ever used and instructions on how to insert them were very helpful. The towel bar itself is not plastic, they are a thin and lightweight metal. The towel bar leaves plenty of space for thick bath sheets, but is compact enough for tight spaces. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend.

Nice once installed, but design not well thought out for installation.
Design shortcomings create installation problems, but bars look and function as expected once problems are dealt with. Problem: bars are loose in sockets so that they rotate when you pull off a towel. This feeds the other towels on the bar onto the floor. Solution: Loctite or some other adhesive in the sockets of one bracket.Problem: wall fittings to which the units attach have their slotted mounting holes on each side of the fitting, with the slots in line with each other. This permits adjusting the fitting side–to-side, but doesn’t permit rotating the fitting to compensate for your drilling one hole higher than the other in your wall. If the fittings aren’t dead level, the socket for the outer towel bar will be offset to the right or left of the socket for the inner bar. This may not be critical if your drilling isn’t too sloppy, but the problem would have been avoided if the slotted holes were at the top and bottom of the fitting (the way all other manufacturers do it), instead of on each side. With slots top and bottom, the fitting could be rotated as well as moved horizontally.

As it comes out of the package, this is a flimsy, thin assortment of parts with poor design but with work most can be overcome to make it look quite impressive in the end. One of the side supports was not exactly perpendicular to the wall but because it is held in place by a screw it can be turned to come out straight. The round back pieces that fit against the wall slide on an inside metal bar that has a notch for the set-screw that holds them in place but the notch is not accurate for the thickness of the drywall so that it is held a fraction of an inch away from the wall making everything loose. I turned this bar upside down so that the set-screw can be turned tight after you’ve pushed the assembly as tight to the wall as possible since the notch doesn’t interfere anymore. But you have to make sure that the set-screw is made very tight. The two towel bars fit very loosely in the end pieces and would rattle when touched so I epoxied them in place making everything nice & tight. The whole assembly now looks quite impressive with the chrome finish.

We had plane silver single towel bar in our brand-newly built condo and after a few months it kept falling apart. We finally decided to start replacing the fixtures and decided to go with this one and we are 110% pleased we did. After buying this we wounded up buying the whole Lounge set for the bathroom and the guest bathroom. If you want something that is going to last and know it won’t fall or break go with a Moen product. Little hint go to their site find the models you like and find it on amazon because you find it about 75% less here then home good stores like we did. Coasted us under $70 to do master and guest bathroom in full set of the Lounge set.
