Uniquely Designed, With a Great Smell
I love everything about this candle. I’m planning to keep mine on hand for company, but this product screams “gift me” from the moment you open the box! The honey comb netting that covers and protects the candle hints right away that there’s something special inside. Once removed, the unique black metal canister is sure to convince any man lucky enough to receive it as a gift that he’s somebody special.The metal lid fits tightly and securely over the container, and is a little hard to get off using just your fingers. Mine was easily pried off with a butter knife. Whatever tool you use, when you open it that fabulous leather fragrance is going to leap right out of the can! Once you light it, the scent just keeps on giving. It has a nice throw, even in a larger room. The scent is definitely masculine, but anyone who likes the smell of leather is going to appreciate it. I think it’s especially well-suited for an office or library, and gentleman are going to want it in their man cave.This is a very unique candle that would make a great gift. Grab one!

Somewhere between subtle and strong
While I wouldn’t say that this candle really evokes leather and I can’t pinpoint what fragrances were used to make it, but it’s at that happy middle ground between sitting a couple of feet away from it and being surrounded, or stepping out of the scent circle and smelling next to nothing. So this is definitely a smallish space type of candle.The design absolutely tickles me! I adore the barrel jar. The lid even has a little embossed spout!It burns pretty cleanly and evenly, though mine is burning with a decent amount of wax still clinging to the walls, but I can take care of that when it’s time to put this candle under a candle warmer.The price is rather steep at $22. While I love and recommend it, I won’t be able to swing another for myself or anyone else for a while.

M&SENSE Scented Candle, Tobacco Vanilla Medium Jar
I’m “meh” on this for the price.The good: It burns well with no smiking, curling or carbon balling. Very little side residue compared to height of flame. The “oil can” jar is novel and the white on black looks upscale. The presentation is good and it is well protected in the box to prevent damage.The not-so good- this is very weakly scented. I have it sitting on my desk and occasionally get very mild wafts of the scent. I’m also currently using a tobacco vanilla handsoap that is stronger than this scent. I REALLY have to put my nose to it it smell the (good and accurate) scent. It is slightly more noticable first entering the room, but still it doesn’t permeate the air.The lid can be hard to get off if you don’t have a fingernail to get in-between the pieces as it is tight and the space is small.I’m about 1/2 way through this candle and the flame is much smaller now like it’s not getting enough air to keep going and I wonder if the relatively tall and narrow can is allowing enough air in to finish the candle.The main negative is the weak scent. I thought it might be me going “nose blind”, but I just got another brand of Tobacco Vanilla candle that is smaller and much less expensive and the throw and intensity on that single wick is much better and in minutes my office is filled with the scent. I wish the burning scent was as good as the smell when I first opened it before it was first lit. 3.5 stars, but I would not buy again.

Good size, nice scent
This ‘very manly’ candle looks the part on the outside, but is a softie on the inside. I chose the ‘leather night’, expecting a heavy scent with wood and maybe some leather, but instead it is refreshing and floral. The scent is not overwhelming, and this candle is best used on a desk or next to a bed. I don’t think the scent will fill up an average sized family room. It burns well, without producing too much sot.It comes in a package that is worthy of being gifted, for those who enjoy scented candles. This is a very giftable candle.The drum-design is a nice size and is somewhat of an eye-catcher. I have gotten several comments about how it looks, where I never have that with regular scented candles. That’s nice, for a change.I think the price is slightly on the high side compared to other candles, but the design and packaging make it look more upscale than many others.

Cool Oil Drum Container, Great Scent!
This M&SENSE Scented Candle has the most unique packaging, a black mini metal oil drum! The lid fits securely, but I was able to pry it open pretty easily with my fingers, I have strong hands. The Tobacco Vanilla scent smells amazing. I love all things vanilla, and the tobacco adds another layer of warm, delightful fragrance. I appreciate the eco-friendly plastic free packaging. There has been a huge surge in candles for men, I guess they realized this is an untapped market. But women can also appreciate them, I’m not a girly girl and I’ve always preferred fragrances that are marketed to men over more traditional florals, which are just not my taste. I also really like the black metal oil can a lot, it’s so cute in an industrial sort of way. Five stars for quality of fragrance and unique packaging. M&SENSE is one of my favorite candle companies, they never disappoint!
