It looks like my dog is like children when it’s time to go to sleep she gets all kind of energy. These drops calm her down and finally go to sleep.

It doesn’t hurt to try
TLDR: If you own a cat, you know they’re weird and your cat might take this like a dream – so I’d give it a try.I have a 10lb active cat. It’s easy to deal with during the day, but the nighttime adventures were getting old. I decided to give this a try. I put a couple DROPS in her food…and the results were AMAZING. I slept until my alarm went off for the first time in a couple years. I forgot how good that felt. After a few days the cat caught on to me and now won’t touch her food if this is in it…even just ONE drop – HOW DOES SHE EVEN KNOW?! so frustrating. I tried putting it on her paw and she’ll lick some of it off, and it does seem to help chill her out but the results are not even close to what they were when she was actually consuming it. I can’t say what the issue is…I don’t know if it’s the flavor that offends her… I’ve tried other oil products that have different flavors (bacon, sardine) and she won’t eat those either – which makes me think it must be something besides flavor. maybe the texture? The smell? It’s hemp…so it does have that grass/outdoorsy smell – but cats eat grass, right? I did try slipping some into my less-picky cat’s food and he had the same reaction of choosing to starve rather than eat any food with a couple drops of this in it. With all that said…i know it works if she’ll eat it, so I might save this for really stressful events (maybe she’ll forget to check for it if I’m not trying to slip it to her everyday).UPDATE: I started using the dropper to put this directly into her mouth. She isn’t a huge fan and obviously I’m the worst. Now the effects of it only seem to last a hour and then we resume the normal routine of freaking out at windows in the middle of the night – I don’t know if she’s built up a tolerance or if giving it to her on a regular basis means her little body needs to adjust and overtime it will have a more consistent result. I do have to say, it seems easier to get her to stop her midnight/1am/2am showings – they still happen, but they arent as intense (or maybe I’m imagining it because I want something to work)

Good sleep aid – but formula changed
This works well for my cat to get him sleepy for bedtime. It doesn’t last through the night, though, since it is not time-released. However, it pairs well with other calming aids I administer to him.Keep in mind: The formula recently changed and does not match what is displayed in the photos and description. The melatonin and hemp oil content are the same, however there is no longer omega 3,6,9 on the nutrition label.

Helped our old dog who has canine dementia
We originally tried this for our miniature schnauzer (13 pounds) because her dementia was causing her to be up all night and extremely anxious. She was also refusing to take any solid food, so the liquid form was very helpful. By itself this was not enough to get her to sleep through the night, although it did calm her down a bit. Now we have discovered what works for her: a dose of gabapentin, 2 different calming treats, and 1-2 dropperfuls of this. It is amazing to see her so much calmer overall, feeling better from getting enough sleep, and to have a reliable nighttime routine. Even though this is not enough for her on its own (which I think is just due to the severity of her dementia, as this is one of the bigger doses of melatonin in a dog supplement) it is a very important part and it does work as advertised. She is ambivalent about the taste. I give it to her straight from the dropper about 30 minutes before sleep. She used to only sleep 1-2 hours at a time, now she sleeps all night with only 1-2 wake ups that are just to potty, not pace. Being consistent (daily dose) also pseems to make it work better than on an as needed basis. I hope it helps your furry friend too!
