I’ve been using jojoba oil for my hair for a couple years now. When I was living in New York, I would put some jojoba oil on the ends of my hair before I shampoo it, and it helps my hair stay tangle-free for the rest of the day. However, when I moved to Wisconsin, that method simply wasn’t enough. The hard water and the cold (and therefore the heater) really damaged my hair and my scalp. My scalp became flaky, REALLY flaky, but it’s not dandruff, just dead, dry skin. My hair lost its shine and I started shedding more hair than when I was in New York. I tried installing water filter for my shower head, tried natural shampoos & conditioners, tried scalp treatments, tried a bunch of different brands that claim to be hydrating, but nothing worked.That’s when I went back to my trusty jojoba oil. I made my own blend of jojoba oil (4oz), rosemary essential oil (20 drops, supposedly rosemary helps with hair growth by increasing circulation), and lavender essential oil (4 drops, also helps with circulation). I massage my scalp with the blend, put on a shower cap and let it sit for about 30 mins every day (yes, I shampoo every day, it’s a habit that I can’t change even though it’s probably why my scalp is so dry…) I’ve been doing that for a couple weeks now, and my hair has never been shinier. My scalp feels hydrated, the flakes are gone, and my hair stays tangle-free all day. When I don’t have 30 minutes for hair treatment, I just massage the blend into my scalp and shampoo right away. It doesn’t work as well, but it’s better than nothing!I’ve also tried jojoba oil on my face as a moisturizer and as a cleanser (oil cleansing method), but my face doesn’t seem to appreciate it as much as my scalp does. Jojoba oil has a comedogenic rating of 2, which is moderately low, but can potentially still clog pores for some people. Though there’s a lot of talk on the internet about how it resembles the natural sebum that we produce & therefore shouldn’t clog pores, it just doesn’t work for me. I use argan oil for my face, which has comedogenic rating of 0, and it’s working pretty well.

Game Changer for Mature Skin
I like the price and absolutely love the texture of my skin after using this oil. I am older, 70, and my skin has been feeling unbalanced for a while. First I poured some oil into my palm and rubbed it around my hands. Then I applied it to my freshly washed face. Amazing! My skin drank it up and became so smooth. After five minutes I proceeded to apply my liquid foundation using a Real Techniques Sponge. Wow! Amazing results! My foundation seemed to meld into my skin easily and oh so evenly. It lasted all day and looked great until I washed my face at night. Usually my makeup breaks down somewhat during the day. But that changed after using Now Solutions Johoba oil. It is a real game changer for my mature skin.I find the oil seems to get on the outside of the bottle so I just wipe around the cap and bottle after each use to keep it nice and clean. That’s a simple trade off for my soft and smooth skin.I have begun using this oil all over my body lately. The results are wonderful. I am excited that I can stay hydrated easily with just one product. And now my only problem is tossing all of my old moisturizers and balms. My cupboards and vanity will look uncluttered and tidy. Sooo Happy with my new oil!

Great Oil for Skin!
This is my second time ordering and now i have a subscription set into place. I lather into my body when i’m done with my shower before i step out of the tub. It’s made my skin so soft and healthy. I also put some on my lips after a lil scrub and it makes them very soft as well. It doesn’t have much of a smell to it. I might change out the bottle to a pump or something a little more aesthetically pleasing.I’ve also did the math on many other jojoba oils and the total amount ratio. This is the best deal for organic jojoba oil. The 16oz size is better than getting the larger one. at least for me.

Methods:1. Add a tiny bit of pure essential oil in the jojoba: rosemary, lavender, peppermint, tea tree. I like it on days I am home, I wet my hair and gently rub the oils carefully on my thinning hair. And I don’t mind that my hair looks a bit greasy.2. I also like it after shampooing too: add just 2 drops in the conditioner and apply gently to the wet hair. keep for 2-3 minutes, rinse and dry.Expensive shampoos did not help my thinning, aging hair all these years, but these oils brought out true healthy looking hair. My hair used to be flat and lifeless. Now it looks almost like it has more volume, because the oil brought more bounciness and waves.I use it after bath. What I like about jojoba oil for the body is: non sticky, light, absorbs fast, does not irritate my super sensitive skin. Have been using it for a year but far I have not noticed any significant changes on wrinkles, added firmness.

Best bang for your buck deal for jojoba oil on amazon.ca! I ordered this after being swindled by “H & B Oils Center” jojoba oil which turned out to be cheap sunflower oil. This stuff, on the other hand, is the real deal. Although not organic, this is genuine jojoba and very high quality at that. I actually enjoy the slightly nutty/smokey smell. Also apparently the bottle contains a UV protectant so even though the oil isn’t in an amber/cobalt blue colored bottle, it should still be light stable. The only complaint I’ve heard with this product is the cap mechanism getting gunky and attracting mold, eventually, if not cleaned often. To avoid this altogether, I just decant some of the oil from this large bottle into a smaller bottle (for daily use) by unscrewing the cap instead of using the pop-up mechanism. Excellent product itself! Will purchase again when I run out in a year or so!
