Wonderful paper quality, new favorite journals
Paper is beautiful and thick. Papermate flair pens (felt tip) do not bleed through and write very smoothly due to smooth surface. Cover is durable, hasn’t peeled/curled or even shown wear – I carry this everywhere at work and tote it around in a full backpack when its not in use. M previous go-to was Moleskine, but those get beat up s o quickly and the paper is too thin for flair felt tip pens.I did have to glue the ribbon bookmark back into the spine (there are 2 which is awesome for keeping my current place as well as another reference page, way more useful than I ever reallized. didn’t know how much I needed the two bookmark ribbons until I had them, and i’m not going back!) since i was a little rough with it and it was only tacked in with some double stick tape. I just squeezed some e90 glue into the spine and smushed, but had to glue again with superglue to really fix it. I preemptively superglued the ribbon into the spine on the second book.The perforations are cleanly cut and very easy to tear along without ripping the page, but they only tear out if you want them to. No accidental perforation-tearing or separation even with rough handling, even when it fell and I had to grab it midair by the single page. When you do tear out a page, everything comes out cleanly and fairly easily – just don’t yank, guide it out with even force. The fact that you get 2 is awesome – I’ve stopped shopping around for an ideal meeting/tasks work notebook. Minimal design, exceptional performance, incredibly functional. These are already in my cart again since I’m on the second one.

Great notebook
This thing is great. One small defect. The strap broke the second I touched it. The strap on notebooks like this is important to me as I use them every time I close the book. Still five stars because it is a one off as far as my experience goes. If it happens on the second one Iâll update my review to a lower rating.

Good product, but some things you should know
I just received these yesterday (on time). They are just as described, so make sure you read the description, specifically that the pages are perforated and that the lines are tiny. I didn’t want perforated pages and that’s part of why I give four stars. But these seemed like the best value for the money, so I bought them anyways. And so far, they are worth my concession.The other reason I knocked a star is because they have a kind of nail polish smell to them when you open them up. Hopefully that will fade over the next few days. It’s not absolutely overwhelming, but you will smell it some while writing.Personally, I love the tiny lines because I write small. But before you buy them, you should know that they are small. I really like the overall feel of them–flexible but not flimsy.Overall, seems like a good product. If the smell fades over the next two or three days, I will most likely buy them again once I’ve filled up all 260 pages between the two. If it doesn’t, I might have to look for something else.

Love, dissapointment, but then more love!
Initially I was in love, then dissapointed, then in love again! When I recieved these in the mail I was blown away by the beautiful thick paper and the soft grey color of the outside, and it was great. They lay flat nicely and also tear out well for when you want to take a page on the go or need scrap paper for notes. This being said, after about a week of usage the band that held it together snapped 🙁 i ripped it off completely to make the notebook more usable and it was not difficult at all to remove it, which makes me believe that the glue was not strong at all. That being said, I mentioned it to the company when they said their follow up email and they overnight shipped another pack of 2 to my door no questions asked so I now have four notebooks, one currently being used without the elsatic strap. The strap, though nice to have, is not vital to the functionality of the notebook and I am happy with the quality of the rest of it and the customer service is phenomenal! All in all, knowing that the company is dedicated to making their customers happy and pleasant to deal with when there is a problem, I would definitely buy these again!

Great for what I needed for several years, but then the smell!
I have purchased likely 50 of these journals over the span of 6 years, and they have been a great way to take notes for work meetings. The ribbon bookmark didn’t stay attached but everything else worked pretty well. I used them only for 6-8 weeks before filling them up and moving onto a new one so I didn’t run into other durability issues that might come up over a long span of use.But this most recent batch did have, as other reviewers have noted, a very strong smell, like gasoline or petroleum. I had thought it’d go away but it really hasn’t sufficiently for me to buy these again. I’m looking for another option. Sadly, there aren’t that many notebooks that have this many pages and are soft cover, so it’s taking some searching to find a replacement! If the smell issues are resolved and noted in later reviews, then I’d love to come back to purchase these again. They were very handy for my purposes.

Lightweight and perfect size for notes or journaling! !
Perfect size for what I was looking for. I love the cover. It is durable and wipe-able if you dripped on it. Not a heavy plastic cover but more of a lightweight folder type of a feel. Opens nicely. 2 ribbons to use as placeholders and lays fairly flat which was what I was truly looking for. Just got them so can’t speak to how well they hold up over time. The perforated pages are a nice extra. I’m using it for seminar notes and think it will be perfect. I have a desire to have notes from specific subjects all be in the same color notebook so getting 2 at a time is fantastic! I saw several reviews about odor and it gave me pause as I am pretty sensitive to smells, but I honestly didn’t notice anything other than a typical notebook fragrance. Maybe they fixed this based on other reviews.

Great products but check the size
Totally my fault on this, but these are smaller in length and width than I wanted. They are great quality so I am keeping them and using them for a different project. Totally great for the price.

I’ve been buying this product for two years now; I go through about 1 book per month. They are great! To my knowledge (and I have searched!) there is no other product on the market of this size where all the pages are perforated. I use them quite hard – moving between home office and work, and I find them to be perfectly durable. I remove about 50% of the pages (lots of zoom calls, lots of file folders) and the notebooks hold up extremely well.
