Taste and Smells like fresh coconut oil
I’ve been buying this Parachute Coconut Oil on and off for several years. It is the real thing!. I’m from the Islands and can tell whether a coconut oil is real or not. Coconut oil is my favorite cooking oil because I grew up using it, and it is stable, smells and taste great. It’s also good for you. Many health benefits in using coconut oil. In the West Indies, we used it on our skin and hair., as well as for cooking. It gets solid in cold temperatures, so the best way to get it out of the bottle is to sit the bottle in hot tap water for a few minutes and then it will be easy to pour. I highly recommend this Parachute Coconut Oil, It is excellent! It’s also a good value for the money.

Great for helping regrow dogs’ hair!
I bought this to use like a lotion for my dog who had lost hair due to hot spots as I had read online that coconut oil was good for helping a dog to regrow hair. This stuff is amazing! Just bought my second jar because it has helped my dog so much! The coconut is solidified, but 45 seconds in the microwave fixes that, and my dog seems to find the warm oil soothing. I love the scent because it reminds me of a Pina colada! Haha! The value for the price is WELL worth it as well.

Good product (coconut oil) @ a good price but…
I ordered and paid for the two 15 oz. bottles. They sent one 15 oz and one 6 oz. When I called Amazon to make it right they refused to credit the difference or send a second 6 oz bottle to closer match what I ordered without me sending everything back (which has been an already extended delivery time). There is no 6 oz bottles listed on the Amazon site. Amazon did finally give me a small credit. I partially blame Amazon. I fully blame the seller for deceptive practice. There is too much of that being done through Amazon. Amazon needs to closely monitor that their sellers have the qualifications, honesty and integrity to be allowed to use the platform. Because they don’t, I no longer trust any positive reviews on the site. However, I should state the product Ingredients in this case, were what I expected. It is a product at a good price (Real Coconut Oil) which is harder and harder to find in a world full of scams.

Smells like French fries and has gritty texture
Smells like French fries with a subtle hint of coconut. Very off-putting. Especially since I use it for my hair not cooking. Which I actually could have done except again it smells like it’s been used to make french fries. And it has a slightly gritty feel. I have no clue what the grit is but I’m throwing it in the trash because I CANT return it. What a waste of my money. And I should have read the other reviews because it being a solid in a squeeze bottle is misleading. I could have dealt with it if it didn’t smell bad and had a gritty texture. Terrible product. Zero stars is my actual rating.

NOT COLD PRESSED
I spent awhile trying to decide on ordering this coconut oil or another brand I’ve used before. Clearly, I decided on this one. I’m mainly using for oil pulling so I wanted to make sure it was unrefined (virgin), cold- pressed, pure organic (nothing added) oil. The wording here isn’t what I’m use to. It says “pure and natural” “unrefined and unbleached” but then another area it said refined so which was it? I read reviews and decided to get it. Many of the reviews sound ridiculous talking about “it wasn’t liquid” and “I put it in the microwave to get it out the bottle”. Of course it isn’t liquid, no good quality coconut oil is unless it’s warm, and why would you put it in the MICROWAVEð±?!? Anyway, my only concern was if it was cold-pressed and I found an answered question that said yes it was. Hence why I went ahead and ordered. But once I received it I discovered it was NOT COLD- PRESSED. Many people may not care about that especially if you’re only using for cooking but if using for oil pulling, skin, hair, etc that makes a difference. If it’s not cold- pressed then it’s been heated during extraction and the heat kills many of the nutritional properties/ benefits. You can also tell when it’s been heated because the oil gets a yellowish tint, instead of the clear/ white color a cold- pressed coconut oil has. Probably why several reviewers mentioned that, I thought since it was only a few and they also mentioned smelling funny that maybe it was just a bad batch. Again, maybe not a big deal to many but in case anyone else out there was really interested in finding that info before ordering, here it is. I will go ahead and order another brand for my uses and idk maybe keep this just for cooking or something. Their advertisement is a little misleading on this product. I noticed, after I ordered, that this same brand/ company does have another coconut oil product that’s advertised on the label as “extra virgin, cold-pressed, unrefined, organic USDA” however that one is more expensive and smaller. So that makes me feel like this is the low grade offering from them. If they clearly state that on another product label, why wouldn’t they put that on this product label if it was? You gotta be careful with phrases like “100% pure and natural”, because what does that really mean?! So maybe a good choice for cooking but I wouldn’t purchase this brand for oil pulling, skin and hair. Sure it can be used for any of that but there are better options that haven’t been heated and still retain more benefits. I did add pics of the whole label since they don’t show that either, I would’ve liked to see that myself before ordering.
