Iâve owned this towel for 4 years now…
After I fell in love with a Turkish towel my bff brought me from Istanbul, I decided to order a couple more. Because I wouldnât be traveling to Turkey any time soon, I turned to Amazonâsince itâs the next best thing to being there. That was almost four years ago, now, and Iâve used the three towels regularly (the direct import by my bff and the two acquired via this seller). I rotate through and wash them often, although I tend to use the two I bought here more. They feel better on my skin and are better quality. The towels have worn extremely well: They havenât shrunk, the colors havenât faded, and the fringe is even in great shape! Rolled up, theyâre very compact, and they stash easily into the tiny crevices on the sides of a suitcase being packed for a winter getaway to Hawaii. I use mine as a coverup at the beach, wrapped sarong-style, or at night around my shoulders if the trade winds get a little chilly. Finally, in the summer, I like using these as bath towels because theyâre much lighter weight than terry cloth, and I cool down faster after a steamy shower and dry quickly. Iâd love to buy some new onesâthere are so many pretty colors to choose fromâbut I donât need any more. Definitely five thumbs up! I mean stars. Oh, you know what I mean! Buy one, youâll be happy. 🙂

No more thick fluffy towels for me!
I bought two of these, the gray and lime colored ones, and they arrived yesterday. Last night I washed both my Peshtemals in cold water and then tumble dried them for about 20 minutes (I didn’t want them to stay in the heat any longer than necessary). They didn’t shrink and the colors didn’t fade. They do wrinkle a bit, but that doesn’t bother me.I took a shower this morning and used one to dry off. To me, it dried just as well as my regular bath towel*, so that was nice. It felt a little odd to be toweling off with something that felt like a giant dish towel, but that doesn’t bother me. The size is perfect for wrapping up in and, I have to admit, it makes a rather adorable wrap. The towel was wet in places (maybe 40% wet) after I finished drying. If I had washed my hair, it would have been wetter. 20 minutes after my shower, the towel is just damp in a few small places and I am able to hang it on a hook without worrying about it becoming musty.And this is only after the first wash. The instructions and online reviews said the towels get softer and more absorbent after 3 washes. But even now, I have no complaints. After test #1, I’m a fan!Note: According to online reviews, some places (even on Amazon) sell knock-offs or cheaply made peshtemals, which are thinner and don’t hold up as well. I did quite a bit of research before ordering these, was careful to get ones that were sold by Cacala (not a third party selling the Cacala brand), and I’m very happy with the quality.*When comparing these towels’ absorbency to my regular towels, it should be mentioned that my regular towels absorb well and I have no complains about them in that regard. I never use fabric softeners, which build up on your towels over time and cause them not to absorb, and always add vinegar to the wash. So when I say that the peshtemals absorb as well as my regular towel, this is a compliment because my regular towels absorb just fine.

Just as many other buyers have stated, you will end up loving how handy these towels are. They are lightweight, yet very absorbent and remarkably soft. I am living in another country, and actually bought two for my boyfriend and I, as stuff like that is very hard to come by here. A visiting colleague brought them to me after I shipped them to his place in U.S., so needless to say I was a bit nervous…as it would be a PIA to return them if they weren’t as great as everyone claimed. But they are! So much easier to take traveling or to the gym if I want to shower there! The colors are beautiful, they dry quickly, and hold up wash after wash. I ended up buying a few as gifts for my sister and her boyfriend when they traveled abroad.

It took a while for this to arrive so keep that in mind if you are looking for a quick delivery. Aside from that, it is lightweight and easy to pack for a trip in my luggage and even my tote bag. The best of the Turkish towel choices
Totally absorbent, as all others have said.. this size is big enough to use for the bath. I bought these for my camper and wasn’t sure how it would go, but wanted something that wouldn’t take too much space. I was hoping these would be super absorbent and dry rapidly, instead of getting that mildewed smell after a few uses. I was not disappointed at all and my husband was surprised when he took one to the bathhouse. He reported the towel completely dried him off, including his hair, and still had parts of it dry. When he returned, I hung it out and it was fully dry within a short time. I had a side table we put our small television on and all the cords were hanging below it, leaving a real tangled mess, so I used one of these as a cover over the table to the floor and it looked great as a table cloth. I also plan on using one or two out on the chairs as shoulder wraps when it gets chilly in the evening when we sit around the fire. The colors are muted and beautiful, not tacky or strange. Great product, don’t hesitate to try it.

This is an amazing travel towel (Given the fabric, I personally wouldn’t use it at home, where I’m not restricted to size and can use a fluffy towel). It’s absorbent and versatile. Because of it’s size and the fact that it doesn’t look like a regular ol’ towel, it can be used a beach towel, sarong, scarf, plane blanket, whatever else you can think up for a large piece of fabric…I’ve even seen online someone making a make-shift bag out of this. The fact that it dries so quickly is also great for travelling. The longest I’ve travelled with it so far is two weeks, and it was almost always dried within 8 hours. The few times I had to pack it damp, I just put it at the top of my backpack and left it slightly unzipped. The towel would be dry by the time I got to my next destination, and there was no stink.I will say, however, that I bought this at $14.99, which is a great deal compared to microfiber towels. The $21.99 price is huge jump compared to before, bringing the price point similar to microfiber towels. However, I hated the texture of my old microfiber and the fact that it was so small. Even the largest microfiber towel can’t compare to the size of this towel. Plus, this feels like regular cotton and packs up to about the same size of my old microfiber towel.

Coton doux, couleurs conformes au photos (après un 1er test, j’en ai commandé 4 différentes ).Ne rétrécit pas au lavage, les couleurs n’ont pas dégorgé non plus.Qualité dâabsorption impressionnante. Je n’y croyais pas vraiment, mon mari non plus ( il est adepte des serviettes très épaisses 600g/m² ). Mais en fait, le drap absorbe toute l’eau qui est sur le corps, et ensuite, il sèche réellement rapidement ( moins d’une heure dehors en été, et environ 2h dans une maison fermée à 22 °C).Idéal quand on n’a pas de chauffage en intersaisons, et que les serviettes sèchent mal dans la maison et sentent mauvais. Ou en été, quand on veut prendre plusieurs douches / jour. Le drap de hammam sèche si vite qu’il ne sent pas mauvais et qu’on peut l’utiliser plus longtemps qu’une serviette de bain classique.Idéal aussi pour les bébés et enfants, je recommande.

Dieses Handtuch ist ein Traum. Im Sommerurlaub war es der perfekte Begleiter und hat wenig Platz im Koffer beansprucht. Es ist relativ dünn, trocknet aber sehr gut ab. Und weich ist es auch noch. Werde bestimmt noch eins kaufen.

Amazing. In the first wash, colours did not run or transfer. Very attractive thin alternative to terry towels; fast drying and fresh in humid weather. They are large and wrap easily around wet hair as well, these are a much more relaxed kind of towel.
