Only works with some towels, coating uneven upon opening
This doesn’t really work for our towels, which are extra long and thicker than average but not overly so. Right out of the box, I could see the uneven finish, which is what the product photos say “other” brands have but this one is supposed to be better due to the “vacuum plating”. I don’t know what vacuum plating is but it is apparently difficult to do or this is just done poorly; There is some of the coating (paint) on the cord and I would guesstimate about 30% of the product isn’t coated at all.The cord is insanely short which makes placing this incredibly difficult. Our bathrooms only have outlets placed on the wall next to the sink so this makes it especially challenging. As for the warming feature; It is my impression that the purpose of towel warmers is to dry the towel rather than just warm it and to actually prevent bacterial growth on wet or damp towels. I have read about proper ways to fold towels to make the drying process more effective but our towels are just too thick for this particular rack.Lastly, no instructions were included in the box so I don’t really know how to operate this and have just been doing the trial and error thing with pushing the buttons on the touch screen. I do wish there was a way to change it from C to F. I do not feel that this is a good value for the money; The difficulty in placement due to the tightly coiled and short cord as well as the poor quality of the “fingerprint resistant” coating leaves a sour taste in the mouth. For now, I will continue to use this for my daily face cloth but I don’t see it having much more utility than that.
